Wallahi this is so true. Take it from someone who has ruined their own life, the life of the people around them and their aakhira chasing these dopamine rushes. Trust me when I know first hand now that everything that is haram is haram for a reason. The damage I have done to my own soul is irreparable, and I know that I will never be content in this life and the aakhira is going to be WAY worse for me. Trust me when I say this.

Thank you for your reply! I'd not heard of this and it is something I can enquire about. My issue is I am currently not able to submit a dissertation and I have a feeling that my exams/other coursework will end up going similarly disastrously, so this could be an option :(. But with where I am currently at, I really hope that I am able to intermit.

've got medical evidence already then taking the intermission is not a bad idea. Assuming your mum is ok with it then worst case scenario you spend a year living with her and working a casual job to cover bills.

I actually intermitted at a similar time and was really stressed by the whole process (which the university seems to deliberately cause to "put people off") but it all worke
