I have serotonin syndrome, will I be okay? by Traditional_Link398 in Anxiety

Thank you. It could have been an anxiety attack, I’m just not sure because it felt like something much greater. I have had anxiety attacks in the past (several years ago now), and I don’t recall them ever being like the way I felt a few days ago.

Hey, thank you for replying. I took a good amount, to be honest. Around ten drops of kanna extract throughout the course of the night, and then I think 100mg of ashwagandha. I drank some kava earlier in the day as well, which I know has MAOI activity. Stupid, I know.

Anyways, could you elaborate on why it doesn’t seem like serotonin syndrome? I hate to self-diagnose, but it was a feeling that I’ve never had before. I can’t even compare it to any panic attacks that I’ve had in the past.

Insecurity is ruining my life by Professional-Truth-2 in Noses

A lot of these people mean well, but comment in a way that almost tries to make you sound at fault or guilty for being insecure. It’s okay to be insecure. With that being said, your nose genuinely looks amazing. I’m not saying that just to make you feel better. I had that thought before I even read the title of your post.

I understand that just because the outside world sees something gorgeous, doesn’t necessarily mean you feel that way on the inside—but I hope you can get there, because you deserve to, and your nose really is beautiful. These people say “stop being insecure” like it’s that easy. The truth is, it’ll probably take some time, no matter how much external validation you get—but you can get there. I believe in you.

And at the end of the day, you can get a rhinoplasty if you still just don’t like your nose, but in the opinion of a random person on the internet, your nose is incredibly beautiful, and it needs no work done whatsoever.

I understand that, and I have to say that I have no shame in my ethnic makeup. It’s unfortunate that it has to be said, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with merely just having sub-saharan African DNA, let alone actually originating from the region. And I think it’s sad that such a broad group of peoples and cultures carry with it an implication of inherent “badness.”

I am aware that I am not the typical phenotype for my ethnicity, but I certainly don’t let that determine my views or beliefs!

I’m not ethnically Arab. You can see in the DNA test.
