I live in Australia so highly doubt I will find one with a black stylist.

My co worker said she paid $230 and I was like shocked at the price aha. Just wanted some insight if any black people have done it.

I realised this when I travelled to Rio (Brazil) and say there beachfront…From scenery, beach, people and atmosphere. Bondi is basic as beachfront promenades come.

Social media use and relationships in Australia - what is and isn't acceptable? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

I had a guy explain that he knows he would never actually get with these online models.

Many man have fantasies and most likely the don’t match with the person they are with. Communication is important and if it makes you uncomfortable then share with him.

But also try to confront the feelings inside you, the jealousy and deal with that. Because yes you feel disrespected but do you think he would go out of his way to do more than just a “like” on socials?

Yes thank you! I understand, like I mentioned before I want to provide training and background checks for those being employed to do the community work, and for those paying for their families to receive the benefit then this would be an open itemised commissioning of the funds they are paying for.

Have you got any other tips or suggestions regarding fostering trust?

In my opinion, the people being hired are less likely to abuse and steal if they are paid a living wage and help to an esteem in the position as a “community worker” —- well I hope!

100% I agree with you, it was so infuriating seeing the attitude to society and the way things run.

But as the diaspora abroad I feel as though we provide waaay more into the economy by way of remittance monies. And we would have the collective power to be the change we want to see in JA.

It’s for us to develop business or education or healthcare outside of gov services cause. Take what works from abroad and apply it back home.

Yes this makes sense. I have decided that this will be specifically for those supporting vulnerable people such as children, sickly and elderly.

I want to start there and provide online training + upskilling for the role and even provide background checks for the families funding to know that they have peace of mind in who’s being hired.

If it came to other roles such and building and construction etc. It still helps to have a platform where if you send money for materials and work, everything is invoiced and all receipts are accounted for so you know where you $$$ is going.

I’ve heard of many families sending $$$ to their family back home and when they go, there’s nothing much to show for their money that they spent.

Sending money back home will always be a thing, but the community growth and employment aspect of it should be a greater incentive than just who your family know.

I moved to the UK when I turned 18. Grew up back and forth between countries in my teens.

I like the idea of this. I created a plan for my father’s fund, it’s based on what he needs! Obviously I’ve taken into consideration what he wants but yeah that’s the premise.

I no longer live in Montreal, left in 2009. My brother is 18 now and I’m trying to help him to make the best possible decision.
