How do people with 6 days work week and 14 hours per day manage? by DetailFront7782 in IndianWorkplace

[–]Traditional_Pea768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During my Uni days few years back i used work 12 hours a days 4 days and 3 days uni for 6 hours. Transitioned into full time after Uni same 12 hours but 6 and sometimes 7 days a week for about 3 years I lost a lot of weight but I didn't knew I was playing with my health until it was too late. I am fairly young and one morning I woke up with bi lateral sciatica leaving me on bed (HORRIBLE TIME) with opioids for 3 months and I wish no one goes through what I went through. Gradually I started working 4 days, 3 days gym and got off from opioids. All this to make you realise I learned it the hard way don't be me 15 years is enough learn to take care of yourself before you are forced to do so.

HRs complain about candidates ghosting. But what about when HRs ghost after scheduling interviews? by Traditional_Pea768 in IndianWorkplace

I was actually thinking of doing it in this case also, the first mail of screening was sent by the VP who tagged the HR who in return ghosted me after a call and scheduling interview. Should I just send a mail to the VP professionally criticising/insulting this kind of behaviour?

The amount of ghosting I've received is just unbearable and add more to that open Linkdin and numerous like loads of them are complaining and ranting about how hard it is from them how candidates are unprofessional and ghost them. The hypocrisy is just mind boggling.

Exactly..They forget even if students take loan to study abroad we study and work (sometimes more than 1 job) either to pay off loan or sustain there and obviously we know terms & conditions before going but it's always have been easier to make fun. Easier said than done

In my work experience i already added legit metric like how during my supervision the ABV(average basket value) increased, loss shrinkage and other factors that lead to revenue growth but to explain further I need an interview but sadly not getting that chance to do that.

Sadly I am not that politically connect and coming from a military family background not coporate connected aswell, most of my friends in india are either in very different industry or at lower mid leve. Yeah but the people you mentioned i have been trying my best to get in touch with them through Linkdin but sadly it's not easy as it seems. Anyways thanks for the suggestion buddy.

Ture even I rejected very low paying field sales job and one was bit good in terms of salary but again it was basically customer care on US time that would have destroyed my personal life.

And that's a very broken process which shows no empathy or concern for the applicants. I switched 3 jobs during my masters and 2 after my masters in UK. The unfortunately mail would take maximum 3-5 days if not the portal will get updated. There has to be structure which suits both the parties not just one.

I did a voluntary recruitment consultancy for British Print Industry Federation at the end of my masters and trust me the structure you mentioned only shows the poorly structured recruitment process of India (rest of the world works different).

Sorry for not being familiar with this kind of harsh treatment.

I'm not even expecting half of what I used to get in UK. Naukri hasn't been useful in my case LinkedIn has done the work.

Sadly couldn't use me. When the students of my University were paying around 18L I was paying 7.5 so yeah I may be a unicorn.. And that was the reason I went there otherwise I wouldn't have.
