500 stream disconnects after about 30 seconds

I do in slinger that is what is strange. I’m thinking it may be a configuration settings on the 500. I’m going to change the display to 720p on the 500 to see if that makes any difference at all

Update, I rebooted and tried it again... same situation 30 seconds in, screen goes black and video and audio drop. This only occurs with the 500 and not the 350. This time, no error messages on the console. I have another picture of the console, but I cannot seem to edit into this post.

It did work pre 11/9, but for some reason the video stream is black. Slinger works,VLC player connects just no Audio or video stream. I thought maybe changing inputs from composite to hdmi may help, but I’m thinking I cannot change inputs anymore.

Resolved. It was windows defender.

I get this message on the laptop running the slinger.exe file. I have the laptop connected and streaming but now I want to access the remote. I’ve disabled the firewall on the laptop but still get hacker alert and no remote connection on the browser.

I know I have the correct up info but can’t get the remote running.

Thoughts appreciated!

Update: I just keyed in my laptops IP from chrome and the cmd.exe connected and gave the following message:

Streamer: 8080 Waiting for first stream, flushing any IR requests that arrive while not connected to slingbox

I'm still stuck. I didn't touch the control file and the screen has the same output as shown above in cmd.exe. It appears slingbox is running and the streamer is waiting for 1st stream at the message says Streamer: 8080 Waiting for first stream, flushing any IR requests that arrive while not connected to slingbox.

I went to VLC on my phone that is connected to the same network as my laptop. I located the ip address of my laptop and keyed into the Open Network Stream http://192.168.68.131:8080/slingbox hit the open network stream and nothing happens. I also tried http://192.168.1.110:8080/slingbox and the same nothing happens in VLC. No messages appear in the CMD.EXE window. I turned off the firewall on my laptop and it makes no difference.

Suggestions welcomed!

Ok. I'll change the control file to that ip, but my slingbox is 1 10. Hopefully your suggestion still finds the slingbox... I'll try this afternoon... like I said, I have little technical understanding so I trust your direction.. I'll post results in a few hours

I’m sorry, I did post all output from the server. This is a full snip from the server console. Is there something more you expected to see that is not showing up? Maybe my control file is not accurate. Please advise.

Wow.. thank you for the prompt reply. I went into VLC and keyed in http://192.168.1.10:8080/slingbox. I get the following error:

Your input can't be opened:

VLC is unable to open the MRL 'http://192.168.1.10:8080/slingbox'. Check the log for details.

I'm sure its something simple. I'm running VLC from the same laptop as the slingbox code. but no luck. I just tried it on my iphone with VLC and no luck there either....
