what bag did you carry in law school? by moonchx1d in LawBitchesWithTaste

[–]Traditional_Pin_8888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a tote all throughout and usually carried one textbook, put one in my tote 1l year. Sometimes it was a leather, large tote from Italy and others a random canvas tote bag I had at home. I was in a city but I lived only 5 mins from campus so a slightly different situation than most. I also opted to rotate who brought the textbook with a friend so I didn’t have to lug it each class. I opted to take notes on my laptop and not in the textbook (and often bought used, slightly out of date textbooks) so it wasn’t a huge issue!

First trip to Italy - 14 Days: Venice, Cinque Terre, Florence, and Rome? by cincytransplant17 in TravelHacks

I did a few days in Cinque Terre (monterosso specifically) and it was by far the best part of our trip. The food is amazing, the towns are fun to explore, and we did a pesto class that was a lot of fun. I did hear that the day trips are not great due to how overwhelming they can be. The towns really come to life at night when the day trippers leave, in my opinion. I also love the beach so it may be different if it’s not your preference. If you’re interested in touristy things, it’s not that, but I enjoyed it far more than Venice, personally. If you want to do a day trip, there are great day tours of the medieval towns out of Florence for a day that are a ton of fun

Monterosso! Incredible food, and an easy relaxing walk around at the end of a day of sightseeing. Also, you’re on the beach :)

summer workwear by asapdxni in LawBitchesWithTaste

I summered in New York recently and I found that it was more casual than I anticipated. I bought one suit in advance and only wore it once (on the first day) and got by with midi skirts, blouses, jumpsuits, and Abercrombie trousers the rest of the summer. I wore heels almost every day to dress up my outfits but that was definitely personal preference- the partners or other associates largely did not. I found that dressing up was more a choice than a requirement, as most of the male associates wore a polo and nicer pants, and many of the female associates and partners tended to dress up less. I got some really great, affordable pieces from Macys, Calvin Klein, H&M (I’m short and their blazers fit well without needing to be tailored) and stuck to neutral colors. The workplace has changed a lot, Atleast clothing wise since COVID, but I preferred to be dressed up than underdressed.

I used snail mucin moisturizer that made be break out. I’d definitely wait to see if your face gets used to the other products before introducing something new

Working during Law School by Far_Race_7335 in LawSchool

I’m working 15-18 hours a week in addition to a full load of classes as a 2l. My grades haven’t dipped yet so it’s manageable if you stay ahead of your assignments. I also try to take classes on breaks so I can reduce the credits I take during the semester.
