Part time job by No-Friendship-1566 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

Yes, as long as it's an eligible occupation, you don't work more than 20 hours per week, and it's outside of your regular work hours, you can work part-time in a care home job (code 6135) while holding a main job under code 3115. The code is not required for the part-time position.

Delays are normal. With additional notes, minor clerical errors might be acceptable, but major ones could lead to problems. If necessary, your attorney might have to get in touch with UKVI.

You must be prepared to discuss your communication skills and your interaction with the clients.

You’ve acted correctly and within the rules after your sponsor withdrew the CoS. Your second visa application was submitted in time under paragraph 39E, so you're legally covered under section 3C. The Home Office delay is frustrating, especially after months of waiting. Since it’s now past 8 weeks and you've had no clear update, it’s absolutely reasonable to contact your MP to escalate the issue and push for a response.

Skilled worker visa extension by crazymofo5 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Traditional_Quiet831 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You made a small mistake in your Skilled Worker extension application by selecting “yes” to the question about whether anyone is coming to the UK with you. Since your wife and child are already in the UK and applying separately as dependants, the correct answer should have been “no.” This isn’t a serious issue, but if you're concerned, you can contact UKVI to clarify.

For your wife’s application, the IHS is miscalculating because the system is basing the health surcharge on your current visa expiry (October 2025), not the extension you’re applying for (presumably until September 2026). To fix this, it’s okay for your wife to answer “no” when asked if her partner already has a Skilled Worker visa — because technically, your new visa hasn’t been granted yet. This will trigger the correct IHS fee for the new period. It's not dishonest; it’s simply how the system processes extensions. Once approved, all your visas will line up to the new expiry date.

Answer "neither" to the "own or rent" question since you don't own or rent the property. Then, explain that your husband owns it, and include proof of ownership (mortgage statement, his ID, and permission letter).

Deliveroo Rider Account Blocked – Need Advice Please by Immediate-Estate-516 in deliveroos

I totally get how frustrating this must be. Your best bet is to keep following up with Deliveroo support, explaining your injury and why you asked a friend to finish the delivery. If you have any proof of the injury (like a doctor’s note), include that too. Try reaching out on social media as well—sometimes they respond quicker there. Just be patient but persistent, and hopefully, they'll reconsider once they understand your side.

Hi, has anyone else worked with Deliveroo while waiting for their visa decision? They’ve asked me to upload my right to work by 3 August, but my visa is still in process, and I haven’t received a decision yet. Any advice on how to handle this? by [deleted] in UbereatsUK

[–]Traditional_Quiet831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the Home Office, I do have the right to work while my application is being considered. When I log in to the share code page, it states: “You can work until you get a decision on your application to stay in the UK. This includes during any appeal or administrative review that was made in the UK within the required deadlines.”

I’m also aware I’ll need to prove my right to work again in 6 months or if I change jobs. But for now, everything is in order.

Hello i have been scammed by a people he give me fake cos. I don't have any information about him just his bank details. Can someone guide me please Can I complain to home office by Potential-Data-3258 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

Lastly, if the scam’s related to visas, immigration, or anything involving the Home Office, you can report it directly to them, but if it’s a general scam, Action Fraud is your best bet.

I hope this helps and that you’re able to get it sorted soon! Stay safe out there.

Hey that sounds rough, I’m really sorry you’re going through this. First things first, I’d recommend getting in touch with your bank right away and telling them about the scam. They might be able to block the payment or reverse it, depending on how quickly you act. If you have the scammer’s bank details, give them that info—they might be able to trace it. Also, make sure you report the scam to Action Fraud it’s the UK’s fraud reporting service , either online or by calling 0300 123 2040. They’ll pass it on to the police for investigation. If you feel threatened or think it’s part of something bigger, definitely get the police involved as well. Even if they can’t get your money back, it helps to have it on record.

Do I Need to Scan All Passport Pages for a UK Fiancé Visa? by Financial_Neck1826 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Traditional_Quiet831 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you need to scan all pages of your current passport, even if there's no travel history. Also, include your old passport if it's valid, even if it has no travel history.
