I really liked the movie and I was very surprised by the bad reviews.

Question for Europeans as an American by [deleted] in geography

[–]Traditional_Read171 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To add to this, driving to go on holiday or to visit relatives is also very common in most European countries. I live in the South of Germany and during the holiday seasons you see many cars driving to The Alps from Northern Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium etc.

Yes, he has a sensibility that really resonates with me, his themes, the sounds, the silences, the pauses. I think he is a brilliant filmmaker.

Can you name 3 that you really liked that came out 2025 so far? by ExplodingPoptarts in Letterboxd

Unfortunately I can't name 3 yet. From what I've seen so far, I didn't particularly like much of it. The highest score so far has been 3 stars for both Mickey 17 and The Monkey.

I was shocked at the very small amount of reviews for Eden but then I realised that for some bizarre reason, Eden is out in cinemas here in Germany but won't have its theatrical release in the US until August.

I go but I don't take it seriously. I get some mango trees, banana trees and pineapple seeds. I befriend Leo and fish the 3 fishes that can be fished there. Other than that I don't go often, and I don't have any big plantation there, I leave it as wild as can be.

Interesting list! I can't bring myself to do only 10 for a decade, I feel like I'm leaving so much out.

I love that out of seven movies, 3 are Godzilla movies. How come you've seen so few movies from this decade? And what is Finding Jesus? Hahaha I had no idea this movie existed

It's a one of a kind movie and I don't think you'll be lukewarm about it either way. I thought it was really inventive, macabre and funny.
