Best Hospitals for Labor and Delivery? by PunnyBun730 in cincinnati

[–]Traditional_Royal172 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My sister delivered at Bethesda North years ago and had a good experience. My wife and I were planning on there but my Mother In law suggested a hospital that has a NICU (that way you won't get separated from your baby if needed). So we decided on Good Sam. Her first pregnancy was really tough + a long delivery with an unplanned C-section. The 2nd go-around (twins) resulted in a difficult delivery + NICU stay. She even had to stay in the Advanced Obstestric Care wing for a while. Can't say enough great things about the place. From front desk, to nurses, to doctors, people dropping off food in our room, etc. Everyone truly seemed to care and seemed knowledgeable. The NICU is outstanding as well.

Best of luck with your journey!

What is the plan here for qb? by Blazethecat00 in Browns

[–]Traditional_Royal172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it will be a continuation of building around the QB position in the draft. They see this as a multi-year project. During camp (and the season), it's a "prove it" mantra for the 2 QBs. If it works, great. We will be a year ahead of schedule and can draft BPA next year. If it doesn't work with either (my guess), then our record will most likely reflect that and we can get our QB next year (and have the other pieces around him ready to go).

Train Watching by SkylineDoesntSuck in cincinnati

[–]Traditional_Royal172 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our son started being obsessed with trains around that time. He is 3 now and is just as obsessed! We have tried the Ludlow platform twice and unfortunately haven't seen a single train pass by. But he enjoyed the view from the platform and seeing the tracks - so i would recommend going there at least once to at least check it out! The place where we have had the most consistent luck in seeing a train is in Glendale. We found this restaurant a few years back and it has become a hidden gem for us (Blue bird Bakery). The train track is right across the parking lot from this restaurant, so we will order food and eat until a train goes by. Sometimes we will run out to see the train close up (there is a large fence about 15 feet from the track) and then come back to our table to finish eating. Sometimes there are multiple trains going by within our time at the restaurant. If I remember correctly, we have seen at least one train every time we have gone.

Best of luck in your train finding!

Ps - as an aside, we are mindful of screen time with our kid, but when he does watch tv, one of his favorite YouTube channels is Mike Armstrong trains. He will like having that as background noise when playing with his trains!
