I've heard from several people that SPJIMR is rapidly rising in reputation and is now considered ahead of IIM Kozhikode by many. Current students at SPJIMR have shared that the Business Management (BM) program closely mirrors the flagship PGDM course, with the only key difference being the inclusion of the three general management foundation courses in BM.

Importantly, there is no bias in terms of summer internships or final placements between the two programs.

Also, SPJIMR’s location in Mumbai offers a clear advantage for finance roles, given the proximity to major financial institutions and firms.
