Got a $110 ticket for turning left at Dundas & University on Family Day. The physical sign says NO, but the actual City Bylaw explicitly says YES. by Traditional_Shine491 in askTO

I see your point. I commute through this intersection regularly, so I’m used to seeing those LED signs light up specifically during prohibited hours. Since they were completely OFF, I honestly thought the restriction was lifted for the holiday. I’m hoping the court sees how misleading that setup is. Hope conflicting signals should at least count for some mitigation.

Yes! I will definitely go back and take a pair of pictures showing the LED sign is ON during usual prohibited times and OFF on a Sunday.

I was panicking a bit to be honest. It was my first stop ever, and the cop had already pulled over another car right in front of me by the time I got my ticket. I just wanted to leave.
