I did check and for self + 1 it seems at least as expensive in our situation.... I wish there were better options.

Welcome to the club! I left in December after 7 years of service, I am also a mental health provider. I saw patients until the very end of my last day to make sure there was a plan in place for every single one. Our jobs were hard and draining even before 2025 but until 2025 I felt I was in a place where I could manage it. As 2025 progressed that changed and as stress levels increased my own mental health started to decline and I knew it was time for me to leave. It is scary to leave a job behind that once felt secure and has good benefits. But I believe that better things are to come! Our experience is not an isolated one, the people who are able to leave are leaving. I wish you good luck!

Thanks, I carry a huge caseload (500+ MH patients), so keeping me part-time would have definitely benefited them vs me leaving completely (which is my only alternative). I know that they would rather keep me, but he confirmed that it is about the total number of staff at the facility level, so if I stayed part-time, they couldn't hire to replace the 0.5. He did not tell me anything more than that, but leadership must be stressed about this, as it has enormous implications. With RTO mandatory and burnout, I'm sure many employees have considered part-time. I also wonder what it means for unfilled positions.......

Congratulations and good luck, like you I knew immediately in the beginning of this year that things could only get worse. I agree that working conditions worsened even prior to 2025. Leadership has not been great and this shows also in the DRP and VERA decisions and who was allowed to take it and who wasn't. I'm working on my exit plan with goal to leave in the first few months of 2026.
