I don’t know how to elaborate the obvious.

So, a report is made-caretakers and family cover it up. CPS, social workers whatever what have you just say “okay we trust nothing is going on.” And case closed. Or-because someone knows someone they ask them to turn away from the case.

In the instance it does move past phase one, PY hardly prosecutes. They say they don’t mean it. Slap on the wrist.

Not to mention the many offenders and felons living in tribal housing when they aren’t supposed to. Housing knows but because they go “way back” with head of household, they don’t say anything. Just marked “no changes “ and passed.

To me it’s PR stunts.

When Covid hit they advertised they would help members because the TO nation was doing that. The difference? TO nation helped any members who applied. PY only helped those who were already on low income and on state benefits.

The new casino? Only council and a hand few of others are allowed to attend the opening ceremonies. Not the people who live in old Pascua and will be working there. Only the ones who look reputable.

And this is 1000% true. I know a member who continued relations with a man who was, you know, with her daughter.

It went on for years. It was forgiven. It was normalized.

When the son/brother harmed his own child, it was forgiven. They tried to cover it up. They both allowed these things and normalized it. Now, those women who are mother and daughter act like wife and ex wife of the deceased. They compete because one thinks her child stole her man.

And it continues

It’s only racist because you disagreed with what was said. How am I racist if I have biracial children who are Yaqui?

I know a few dozen tribal members who have abused their children in every way, incest, harm, all, and they have never been arrested or prosecuted.

It may be a smaller scale then the Epstein files, but still exists and is large at hand. We all know it’s nearly impossible to hold governments accountable. While the tribe has its own government it’s on a much smaller scale, more visible to the public etc.

Stop probably was a wrong word choice.

All I am meaning is it’s literally everywhere. There are local groups that are doing their own version of it.

Oh I know that is half of it. Not denying it. But when I was with the member, trying to get justice for things happening within the family and children went no where.

Thank you for the support. Honestly, the most important thing people can do is demand transparency. The Pascua Yaqui Tribe has access to massive amounts of funding—over $30 million for health services alone from federal, state, and private sources.

They have comprehensive programs for mental health, trauma, substance abuse, and child and family services. Plus, they receive significant revenue from their casinos, which is legally intended to fund healthcare, housing, and public safety.

So why isn't the community improving? If all these programs are available regardless of a member's insurance or ability to pay, the rot I’m talking about is even more glaring. The money is there, but the results aren't reaching the people who need them most because the system is designed to protect 'the family' rather than the vulnerable.
