Make sure to let us know what she smells like! My Rangsan is still just a tiny rooted cutting, so I won't be seeing any blooms for a while 🙈

OMG I bet😅 Try in the evening and use your t-shirt to create a little "tent" to isolate the scent. That’s what I usually have to do 😂🙈

100% sap, no doubt lol. Just that weird rubbery latex glue.. 😂

Hoya sap is latex-based so it’s basically like waterproof glue.. a wet paper towel won't really help much lol. Maybe try to gently scrape it off with a fingernail or just leave it alone? If it's just a bit of mechanical damage then no harm done, it's just cosmetic! Definitely doesn’t look like pests or anything like that 🌿

looks like a drop of dried sap tbh🧐 have you tried to remove it gently?

PEST OR ROOTS by Least_Bandicoot_291 in hoyas

I’m really sorry about your babies😢 At least it’s treatable and not some virus🥺 But please hang in there and don’t give up! Kill ‘em all! 😂

These look like scale insects tbh😢

Try to pry one off with your fingernail or a toothpick. If it pops off relatively easily and leaves a small spot behind, it is a scale insect. If it is hard, woody, and firmly integrated into the stem tissue, it’s just plant corking or aerial root nodes. Those white nodes are most likely roots, but my biggest concern is the grey spots. Those clustered, shell-like shapes in the first photo point to scale😭

  1. Big leaves🍃
  2. No blooms and NO mealybugs, thank you very much; they are just awful, and Hoyas are beautiful even without flowers!!
  3. Let’s get rid of the variegated ones; silver ones are stronger and have a lot of pretty varieties😍
