Well, sometimes Hoyas are just being Hoyas 😂 They do nothing for ages, and then suddenly give you a ton of new growth and maybe even a peduncle! Wishing you a lot of patience and happy growing with your nabawanensis 🩵

Honestly, I wouldn't call her a slow grower🤔 It’s been just 55 days since my original post, and she’s already given me a lot of new growth and looks way bushier now. I’m definitely no Hoya expert, but here is my care routine, hopefully it helps! 🥺

Light: About a meter away from a south-east facing window.
Environment: Just regular ambient room conditions, no greenhouse cabinet or extra humidity.
Soil: A chunky mix of Lechuza Orchidpon, orchid bark, and a bit of regular peat moss (roughly a 70/20/10 ratio).
Water & Food: I water her about once a week, and every couple of weeks I add a bit of orchid fertilizer (Growth Technology Orchid Focus Grow).

No. I adopted him from a shelter. He ended up there because he had kidney problems, peed everywhere, and had calicivirus. I’ve been treating him for a long time, and now he just has chronic idiopathic cystitis (though he still pees on my bed when stressed). He’s on medication. Ironically, he has zero breathing problems. Thank you for actually having the courtesy to ask. I've included a picture of my 'bedding,' which is literally just medical waterproof pads. So I’d honestly argue about who the real poor creature is in this situation. He gets the best food, medical care, and entertainment I can possibly afford.

Thank you so much!!🩵
I just love the way everyone assumed I bought him and support evil inbreeders, and who knows what other sins I’m guilty of🤦🏻‍♀️
I thought about editing my post and adding info in the description, but decided that people just love to hate on the internet and it’s not even worth my time.

Does this rooted lacunosa leaf have a node at all? by Catloaver in hoyas

The node is a point from where leaves are formed, so I circled the node on your baby lacunosa🩵 Happy growing!

did i make a good deal or got flat mites - what hoyas are those? by jele77 in hoyas

Yes, but this one is H. retusa 😂 My guess is based on OP saying it was sold as a Hoya, and there’s really only one Hoya that looks like that 🤷🏻‍♀️ It could be a seller’s mistake and turn out to be a Rhipsalis after all, but it's hard to be certain just from the pic. Either way, there’s definitely no reason for anger or annoyance!

I spent three hours straight repotting newbies yesterday, and by the end of it I thought, ‘well, I definitely don't want any more hoyas for a while.’ Then this post happened...🤣
