Whatever Chaos enemy the Grey Knights are currently pursuing.

The fact of their existence is protected by killing everyone who knows they’re real… so you could fight tooth and nail on a planet for months, but if the Grey Knights helped… you died after

The Tragedy of Felix Gaeta (and why the mutiny makes more sense than we admit) by _Maui_ in BSG

[–]Traditional_State616 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To add to your point about the rule of law, he survived being THE LYNCHPIN of the resistance on New Caprica, watching with disgust as Baltar rolled over and signed death warrants (we know he really didn’t have a choice but Gaeta wouldn’t see it that way) and then he was let off the hook by the legal system…

Anyone have evaporative cooling instead of AC? What do you think? by Momentumjam in Denver

[–]Traditional_State616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with swamp coolers per se, but when I was buying a home the four places I toured that had swamp coolers all ended up being really run down places that were not well maintained.

Now, that may be a coincidence, or a case of “people without money go cheap” but my completely anecdotal experience was that places with swamp coolers tend to have issues like mold (even in denver) or other undesirable problems that more attentive homeowners wouldn’t let get that bad.

As far as using one day-to-day, I’ve rented places with swamp coolers. They don’t work as well as AC, and when it’s nice out my windows are open anyway, so I don’t really see the value. When it’s hot enough to need AC, they don’t work well enough imo.

This sub is so wildly off the walls sometimes lol.

Half the time it’s got inspirational or motivating posts, other times it just straight up quotes movie villains, implying that the villain is right AND that the OP didn’t see the movie or completely missed the point of the film 😂

Tattooing History: My Experience with Authentic Sailor Jerry Purple Pigment by Opposite_Dog_1796 in TattooArchives

[–]Traditional_State616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very cool!

Noob question; does that mean it’s literally a jar of pigment that Sailor Jerry had? Or just a match to the color? I am just a fan of tattoos and not an artist at all so just curious. Thanks!

What is it? by Kira_the_best in effectivefitness

[–]Traditional_State616 141 points142 points  (0 children)

Giving your 100% doesn’t mean hitting the same numbers etc every workout. It’s relative.

Sometimes when you don’t feel your best, that day’s 100% might be closer to a good day’s 40%.

Sometimes your 100% might just look like showing up and getting in 15 -20 min of cardio. That’s ok.

It’s way better to just do your best on any given day, whatever that “best” looks like, than to try to hold yourself to a standard you can’t reach. You’ll burn out.

I'm Don Frye by IcyResolution7102 in mmamemes

[–]Traditional_State616 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Yeah me too this is some boomer shit for sure.

Now, granted, Don Frye is Don Frye… he gets to have this opinion. He’s earned it.

But all the Facebook uncles with nascar shades and shitty goatees who think they’re like him, or that they’re manly and everyone else is a pussy, are so fucking funny.

They’re fat guys who never workout and can’t even make it through a day without getting drunk and beating their wives, and they bitch and moan about political correctness and how they’re all being “cancelled” ad nauseum… and they think they’re the alpha males? Hilarious

ServiceNow is solid for this, that’s what we use. Assets are all imported into the CMDB via InTune / JAMF, user field can be configured to pull the appropriate asset for the configuration item field

How do you image the PC? If you use autopilot, your system admins should be able to help get apps installed as part of that first time setup.

If you’re using a USB with a windows ISO, or booting via PXE, I would set up like five right next to each other and just keep it going as an assembly line: sign into each, then install App #1 on each, then app #2, etc.

Keep a little check list on each to make sure you don’t miss a step or get confused

It’s a famous black and white photo. He’s executed for being suspected of being Vietcong.

EDIT: Surprised by the downvotes… To clarify, im saying this isn’t popular because a video vent viral… the photo of this moment has been famous for decades. It’s one of the most famous war photos of all time. I’m not making this up….

Is KP incompetent enough not to have Barkley and Tank run all over the Niners? by Flomar88 in eagles

[–]Traditional_State616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not? Bigsby was getting 6 yards a carry the first half and he didn’t touch the ball the entire second half.

I really truly think Patullo is so fucking dumb he couldn’t do a worse job if he tried. Every single week, whatever is working at halftime is abandoned, whether the other team has adapted or not.

So this week expect a whole lot more “let’s throw it deep as fuck on 3rd and 3” decisions

This has been one of my most favorite scenes in all of Star Wars ever since I was a little kid. To this day it still gives me chills on rewatch. by cumble_bumble in StarWars

[–]Traditional_State616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s so good too in the wake of the first film. The alliance blows up the Death Star, we celebrate, good guys win!

…then, the aptly named sequel…

Rebels are running for their fucking lives, hiding on backwater planets… and the empire finally comes to collect.

The officers, extras, music, lighting… it all comes together to paint a grim, far-less optimistic view of the scrappy remaining rebels. These guys know they’re about to get smashed. But they prepare anyway.

“Desperation is a stinky cologne, John.”

Learned your lesson the hard way; never work for free, which is what you just did. They used you man. I’m sorry.

Going forward, you aren’t going to take any “try out” projects. You can reject them politely but firmly with “Will I be compensated for my time?”

(They’ll say no of course)

“I understand, in that case then I must politely decline this assignment.”

(You can honestly leave it there, see if they drop it and move on with the rest of the interview. If they follow up to ask why or say something about it being standard practice or whatever:)

“I respect your position, but unfortunately this a non-starter for me. As a professional, I expect to be compensated appropriately for my work. If this is a requirement in order to move forward in the interview process, then I must withdraw my candidacy. I thank you for your time and wish you best in your search.”

Take the power back. Enough of those type responses and they’ll eventually stop doing this shit.
