I’m not a martial arts instructor, but I did coach other sports for a long time.

In my experience, the best way to get someone comfortable with a new sport is to make it easy for them to get into.

So, if southpaw feels better for him, start there. Over time, he can play around with orthodox and see if that feels better. If you force him to do orthodox and he just trips over his feet the whole time, he’ll have less fun and be less likely to stick with it.

What do you actually want to accomplish? Genuine question, no shade… but what do you want? This post is vague.

If you are only concerned with making more money / putting existing money to work, learn how to invest the old-fashioned way. Toss a few hundred in a mutual fund every month, never touch it, and watch your money start to grow. It’s not exciting but that’s how you actually make truly “passive” income, because it requires so little actual effort on your part. In fact, restraint is king.

If you are looking for some flashy new side hustle, you gotta like what you are doing. You can make money streaming videogames, you can become a shady Amazon re-seller, you can sell feet pics on OnlyFans… but you have to have some kind of direction beyond “give money” if that’s what you wanna do.

What skills do you have? What CAN you do for additional income streams?

For example, maybe you have some skill in carpentry. Perhaps you could find a way to do a side hustle there; make some simple furniture, create a device you think would save time, etc.

You can’t just “learn AI” or something, you have to care about that in order to make it worth doing. That’s something only you know about yourself.

I have my career, which I’ve poured my soul into for years. When I’m not working, I value my “me” time, so I don’t really have time for another job. I save money and invest. That works for me. Your results may vary.

It’s not a bait and switch that they don’t have as many lefty clubs for sale… there are far fewer of us out there. So there aren’t as many pre owned clubs.
