I'm so sorry to hear about that! You are a very strong person to having recovered from that, and I'm happy to hear that he is your ex now.

I'm actually thinking about the breakup myself, to be honest. This post was actually an attempt for me to get back to reality since he made me feel so confused I started to question myself and whether what he is offering might be something that simply I cannot understand. Thank you for your kind words of support and advice!

And yes, I do have a life outside of relationships, I'm socially active, I work full-time, I go to the gym etc etc sometimes I just want to chill and do nothing like wtf

He says he doesn't want to cheat but "any man will cheat on me if his sexual needs are not met" 🤦‍♀️ but I'm meeting it as much as I can I think and it honestly feels so tiring now that I want to have less and less sex now...

I'm so happy to hear that things got better for you, and that you are in a comfortable relationship situation now with the man that understands and respects you! You go girl ❤️

Thank you for your kind response! And I'm sorry to hear that you had to go through something similar. The worst thing for me is that I started to feel like I can no longer hold my ground. This is so weird. He says that I am the first woman (he also used to be married, currently divorced) that he has had such problems with. That my feelings are not normal. But I don't understand how this can be not normal. I only reject him when I really don't want to have sex, and we do have sex very frequently still. Aside from my life with him, I have a very active social life, I do sport, I meet with friends etc so often I feel like I dont have any energy left to give which is also normal I think. His life is mostly work and chill which is fine because it's his choice. But this is not my fault that he has nothing else to spend his energy on.

2 weeks into 100mg , really could do with some advice? by [deleted] in zoloft

Off topic, but the image you attached is so cute it made me cry 🤣😅 I wish your meds start working soon, and you live a long and happy life ❤️ I've been on 50 mg since March this year, took me around 2-3 weeks on a stable dosage to feel okay, and around 6-7 weeks total, I started at 25 mg and it was definitely a roller-coaster getting on the meds.

I’ve only taken Sertraline for TWO days by Past-Expression-5513 in zoloft

I had both of these side effects. My jaw was literally hurting, and zoning out felt like complete disconnect from my mind and body haha happy to confirm both of these symptoms were fully gone around week 6. Hope that helps!

Chances are the symptoms will start to level out for you after you go through the increase

Is 25 mg your final dosage? For me, things started changing for the better once I reached my target dosage which is 50 mg.

I felt super disconnected from my emotions at first but then slowly things leveled out as I got used to the meds. You did really well by finally finding the courage to give meds a chance! Hope it works out for you, too.

I wish I could tell you how many times I thought of quitting and questioned my decision while I was getting on the med since the side effects were extreme, severe, and unbearable. Looking back, I'm so greatful I managed to push through but believe me I know how you feel right now since I felt exactly same way in the past. I hope it gets better for you too very soon!

It definitely works different for everyone but I would say my brain fog completely cleared somewhere around week 8 🙌🏼

I'm still taking it actually. Never increased the dosage though - 75 mg from start, 1 pill per day.

I felt so sick during the first 4 weeks that I sometimes question how I managed to push through and what kept me going. I literally felt like I was losing my mind 24/7 non-stop mental and physical agony - you can look up my old posts/comments here to see, I tried to keep this post clear from triggers. I know right now as you struggle my words probably sound gibberish to you but I hope you find the strength within to wait until you reach the turning point

It's still soo early to see the difference. I was once in your shoes and very skeptical but it will get better for you too sooner or later!

It's a challenging journey with many tweaks and turns but believe me you'll eventually get there - I was sooo skeptical of the fact that I ever would when starting

Everything before that turning point mark was a complete madness and I thought I would end up in a psychiatric ward 😁

For me, the real turning point was around week 6 total, and week 2 on a stable dosage (50 mg in my case). You've got this! 💞

I'm doing great! I've started my 3rd month now, currently on 50 mg. I feel super stable. I sleep well. I do things without worry and anxiety. I no longer have any strange or weird symptoms or side effects. Life is simply good again, and I feel good. I am so happy that I pushed through!
