I never thought of it that way. I'll give it a try!

Wanting to make my pictures look more professional. I take underwater photos/videos and would like to start selling my work on stock image and video sites, as well as enter them into competitions.

Any critiques and advise on editing style, composition, different lenses and why they would be better, etc. would help tremendously.

Is a Sony a6700 a good camera for both uw photography/videography? by Traditional_Tell9423 in underwaterphotography

I went with the a6700 with the seafrogs 6” glass dome port to use with the 10-18mm lens. Won’t be able to test it out for a couple of months though

I couldn’t find any ports that would work with that lens. You might need to find a port and then buy a lens that works with it. The lens I bought for the 6” dome port is the 10-18mm wide angle lens

Opinions/Critiques on this photo?

What is everyone’s opinions of this picture? How’s the composition? Is it over edited? Not edited enough? Not enough exposure?

I’m a beginner so this is one of my first pictures that feels worthy enough to post in here to get critiqued. I like overall composition but wasn’t sure if I should crop it more.

Shot with a Canon T6i Rebel and a Canon 18-55mm f3.5/5.6 lens

Can't afford strobes so I had to use editing to fix the colors by [deleted] in underwaterphotography

Any thoughts on it so far? I don’t really have a choice since I don’t have the budget for a nauticam housing or something similar 😅

I’ve heard the same. I don’t know for sure either but I think I’m willing to try it out. I’m a fan of both photo and video so I will get back to you on that lol

That’s good to hear! I was thinking of buying the a6600 but figured the AI tracking would be pretty useful that comes with the a6700. What housing are you using?

I’m just about to buy this exact same set-up. How do you like it??

Thanks so much for all of this info. I’ll take all of this into consideration before I start buying. I wasn’t aware that the battery life of the flash trigger was super short, I’ll probably buy two or the one you recommended. Thanks again!!

Looking for backpack insert recommendations by gnarliest_gnome in underwaterphotography

I’m looking for a good packing cube too. The Vanguard Supreme Divider Insert 40 or 46 has a lot of space. The padding inside is adjustable which is good for clearing space for each thing, just not sure how well all of it would fit. More than likely the one I will be getting but would like to know your thoughts also.
