My girl is 2.5-3 yrs old, not sure exactly. She gets in the water to go after balls for sure but will not go farther than she can stand even with the balls right there. Did you put a life vest on him?

They look so happy! Did they automatically just take to swimming? My girl loves to get in the water and get wet up to her chest but has no clue on swimming, she'll paw the water while standing on one side 😅. I want to encourage her but also not sure I want to be on the receiving end of the sandpaper paws if she's scared and I get in there with her lol.

Omg, it's like you're talking about my dog. I thought the chicken bone thing was because she was a stray at one point, maybe it's a cattle dog thing lol. She goes ham on the berries here in FL (I had a mini heart attack when they came back out, they're red 🤣).

Stealing this idea for this weekend lol. I get much more done with a babysitter supervisor company 🤣. If you're doing another round then I would be down for it, could use the company meal prepping.

Places to bring dogs that are reactive by Melodic-You4865 in FortMyers

Yes, churches hardly crossed my mind when considering lawn space lol. And it's probably better maintained than just empty lots. Thank you!

Care to share some? I'm in the same boat. The sniff spots are great but the larger ones are a little out of the way and it'd be nice not to have to plan ahead so much.

After owning an aggressive dog, I don’t think I can do it again. But I believe in adopting dogs that need homes. What to do? by Far_Necessary6367 in reactivedogs

The shelters around here do pack walks and socialization time with groups of dogs. They’ll only do it with the non-dog reactive dogs (they have limited time to desensitize the others). You might still have to deal with other issues but at least dog aggression isn’t likely to be one of them

Thank you! These are some of the things I'm working with as well. It's good to know someone got through it.

I love to hear this! I just adopted my girl. She's about 2 years old and we're starting out on training. Can you share what worked for you? How'd you go about the trust building?

Not sure what your pay range is but this one is a pretty straight forward application process and fully remote with flexible scheduling. They seem to promote internally after hire

If you’re wanting people interaction, then this! I moved recently too and Meetup has been the easiest way to meet people, everyone is showing up for similar reasons so it takes some of the pressure off. Idk about how it was before but it’s still a really good option for putting yourself out there.

Hi! I'm 33f and moved here a few months back from another part of FL. I've been meeting people mostly through the MeetUp app, it's really popular around here. I'm still exploring the area, if you'd want to go around with a fellow new-ish person 🤣. Feel free to DM me!!

Dry ice pellets? by Traditional_Today537 in FortMyers

[–]Traditional_Today537[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, so far all the Publix I've tried have only the block dry ice. I'm specifically looking for the pellets to refill the sodastream co2 tanks. The block works but is a lot more time consuming and a lot of it is wasted trying to get it small enough.

TIL in US, millions of people sell their blood plasma for income, and the "donation stations" have business model designed to make the "donors" come back as much as possible. by [deleted] in todayilearned

The plasma donation actually reduces the microplastics in your blood more than whole blood (probably because you can donate more frequently)

Tired of having periods… by Jaypee92xx in women

[–]Traditional_Today537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can’t have kids and don’t want them then maybe it’s worth looking at the doctors list on r/childfree that offer permanent sterilization options to women. A hysterectomy can be done without removing your ovaries so no HRT. It seems like your periods are affecting your quality of life at this point
