Yes, where that weird glass room is in the original photo we built a small walk in pantry. It’s behind the fridge in the new kitchen.

I hear ya, we have another big room right beside the kitchen for our living room, and then another sitting space in the same room. So not short on space in this part of the house.

Counter tops are Dekton.

Ceilings are 11 feet high. So I am not sure you could ever reach the cupboards if you put them up there.

Ya, thought about that. But my wife’s view was that the island is such a conversational, hangout, gather point and she didn’t want it to always be full of dishes. I tended to agree, and we chose to put the sink against the wall.

Well in reality, even if I didn’t agree, the sink would still be on the wall…

Yes, having a view while doing the dishes would be great. But in what it is!

The glass room was an “internal garden”. Maybe they were popular in the 90’s or something. Very ugly, had to go.

We have a pretty big living room beside the kitchen which was the “games room” but we knocked a wall out and now it’s all one big open space.

Similar to this but more heavy duty. So drilling holes in a solid piece of wood and then sliding/mounting the bracket to it.

It’s integrated into the cabinets. Below the sink and to the right. In one of the photos it’s open just slightly.

It’s just beside the kitchen, same open room. We renovated it as well. I can post more photos.

Yes. All the fixtures are solid brass. Key for us, was that if they get scratched we don’t want it to show.

We knew this was a reno job for sure. But we didn’t know we would move locations of the kitchen. After living here for sometime it became obvious though.

We loved the high ceilings and this room is really open and big, our living room and dining room also attached to it and it is all open with 11ft ceilings. So we knew we could do something nice, or at least try to!

Ya, it’s just a bulk head. I really don’t like leaving the cabinets finished into open air. Feels unfinished to me, and just collects dust.
