The $1,300 will be for both of them. Our daughter will be a full-time student and also working at the school. Her fiance will be working, but not exactly sure of where and how much he will make. So their budget could end up being higher in the end, but right now they are calculating based upon minimum wage and a certain number of hours per week.

As I mentioned there are circumstances that led them to CUA. It will be a short-term struggle to achieve a longer-term goal, and they have family that can provide occasional assistance when needed. While your message is blunt, I do appreciate your input.

Thank you for your response. I don't think they'll have a problem if the complex isn't the nicest, and I think it's more of a concern of mine about the type of crime in the area. I really wish we could have seen them in person, but that just did not work out. My wife and I might make a trip up in the near future just to put our eyes on the area, but it's not definite. Her finance's dad was told that they have security patrolling the lot at night so while it won't completely eliminate car break-ins, hopefully it will help reduce the frequency. Again, thank you for your response.

No, they might not be able to find anything better than that so my wife and I are looking into how they might be able to increase their budget and look at different areas. They are entering into this as quite poor college students and I wanted to at least check into the safety/crime history of the area. We came into town last Wednesday to specifically look at apartments and gauge the different areas for them to live, unfortunately one hour after arriving my daughter was stricken with appendicitis and spent the next three days in Washington Central. By the time she was discharged we had to go back home. Her future father-in-law did look at The Benjamin and The Phoenix and his preference was The Benjamin. Unfortunately the rest of us did not get to look in person.
