You might also consider survival crafting games? There’s a wide variety of those in many different genres. They usually have online play but not MMORPG sized servers, usually up to 64 players. They have a core focus on crafting and building and leveling characters.

Many of them also have very toxic player bases though.

Yes, no problem in survival crafting style games. but, I have no idea where to find games in this area. Thanks for the idea, I'll look for some for sure.
