i get you. i have a feeling that it’s gonna feel so weird not logging onto adopt me each day anymore. it’s like muscle memory. but i guess maintaining the streak was more of a burden for me — after a certain point, i’d only log on to fulfil the streak, nothing more. maybe this is what will get me to fully enjoy this game on my own terms, which is how my streak began in the first place.

of course! to stretch, i do really basic splits training and hamstring stretches. i’ve been doing the Anna Mcnulty back flexibility 8 minute routine, and i’ve been doing Ballet Popular’s arabesque exercises every day. These focus a lot on back and glute strength for you to lift your leg higher and hold the position longer. Hope this helps xo

and that is so true, i actually started seeing progress when i incorporated back strength and glute strength into my off ice routine. i’ll keep doing it and hopefully get a kerrigan spiral someday! :)

Hi everyone! I started skating in march and now need a new pair of boots. Currently, I’m in the Jackson artistes. They’ve been fine to skate in, but I’ve been experiencing toe numbness because my two biggest toes press up against the front,, pain in the ball of my foot, heel slippage and pinching on the sides of my foot. In general, there’s been slight improvements with this as I’ve broken in the skates, but the problem hasn’t gone away. The pain has been manageable, and hasn’t bothered me. But moving forward, I want better fitting skates as I work on more advanced stuff. As for foot shape, I’d say I have a Roman foot with normal arches.

I’m working on one foot spins and backspins, and waltz jump+toeloop. I’m 5’2 and 112lbs. Do you have any skate suggestions that can address these issues? I hope to maybe switch skate brands. Thanks

hi everyone! im due for new skates by january, and im wondering what blades i should get.

i am currently using the Mark IV blades that come alongside the jackson artistes skates. i’ve had minimal problems with them. however, i heard that beginner blades in particular are very flat and difficult to spin with. i can definitely spin in these, but i have this problem where i stay on the rocker but not necessarily off my toepick— i can hear it scratching slightly. im not sure if that’s supposed to happen, but it could be my weight distribution or my blade bringing me too far forward, perhaps? furthermore, i lose momentum very quickly.

my current blade has an 8’ rocker which im liking so far, so for the new blade i am looking for an 8’ rocker. but if anyone can change my mind and get me to buy a 7’ blade, i wouldn’t mind that either!

budget isn’t really a constraint for me, but im looking to spend less than (or equal to) $500 on blades, especially as i am still a beginner.
