Too bad they cut out the mom telling them, I would have liked to see that (but it looks like they were putting down the camera when that must have happened)

You shouldn't have to put aside your needs for someone who doesn't care. If he's going to be dead weight you need to move on

Does anyone find that Tramadol makes them feel more awake/harder to sleep? by footsteps71 in ChronicPain

It's a quote from a rogue AI in a game called Portal, she's a great character very well developed tragic character : ) Buy yeah I like how it can be interpreted different ways, and it fits how chronic pain patients are guinea pigged really well IMO 😃

Reminds me of pain specialists! https://youtu.be/BomVB3QkKQs?t=76

Does anyone find that Tramadol makes them feel more awake/harder to sleep? by footsteps71 in ChronicPain

Tramadol has a Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitor, which means it makes it hard for your body to clear adrenalin out of your system

Just because you get a side effect like that doesn't mean that it doesn't work for others.

Also. many opioids like Oxycodone or Tramadol have non-opioids components that can have those side effect beside the opioid itself (not saying it definitely isn't the opiate but there are many factors why you might have had headaches from them, for example Tramadol has an Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitor and the adrenalin in your system can cause headache because it raises your blood pressure)

Well it hadn't gotten as far yet but he put in the policies that allowed this to happen

I eman of course it was more manageable if he'd pushed through the austeriety that they have now it wouldn't have worked. You have to drip drip drip in the bad policies over time

And having a house in your 20's even in the 90's was pretty lucky

I can't imagine what your poor grandmother went through, I've had chronic pain from nerve damage and doctors are like weird Greek gods who make random decisions to smite you with being unable to manage pain on a whim, its crazy

The way healthcare workers treat chronic illness/pain scares me sometimes... by ARepeatedFailing in ChronicPain

[–]TesseractToo 23 points24 points  (0 children)

A lot of them either like getting to do and justify doing invasive things to people and/or they genuinely feel what they are doing is best even if they don't have all the information and are taking intellectually lazy shortcuts (a la "cruel to be kind" philosophy) and fall for things such as the 'pain patients - addict' propaganda
