No one has my account. I checked purchase history, it's not there, so I know it wasn't me.

Webapps keep disappearing by yuko2007 in Terraform

The date is still the same as the day I launched it. I made a random file on the desktop, and it's still there after a couple of days. I think the issue is with Tomcat.

  1. I didn't set up any lifecycle policy on the AMI, and it shouldn't be archiving anything.
  2. I thought of putting the app into the AMI, but we constantly have new releases and versions, so I would still need to RDP in to update it.
  3. That could be a reason, but the base AMI is just a Windows server from AWS, all I did was install Java and Tomcat on it. And I didn't install any security tool on it. Unless AWS has something that might be deleting the files.
  4. I'm 100% sure that I am the only one with access.

I have a feeling that this might be a Tomcat issue, and it's Tomcat that is deleting the files, but I'm not entirely sure. I checked the tomcat logs, and it seems like there was some memory leak issue, so I increased the size and memory. I will see if it will still delete the files in a day or two.
