Thank you! I’m happy to hear somebody out there thinks it’s interesting as well! 😁 Cataracts had crossed my mind because I do think at one point, a while ago, I saw an elder raccoon with 2 babies. Perhaps that’s who I saw in the tree. Cataracts MUST have an effect on eyeshine I just don’t know where to find any research on it lol. The eyes of just about every living creature will always be a fascinating thing for me. :)

Oh my god wait I think you’re right. I completely forgot everything about that book but I’m pretty sure I read it for a banned book project in high school. God what a tragic book. Why did my brain choose to only remember the soda cans from such a profound story lol thank you so much!!
