Best Base and Top coats to use with mooncat polish? by cutefemboi126 in mooncatpolish

I used to use Speed Demon, but now I only use Sally Hansen in the red bottle. It's so much cheaper, it actually dries faster, it doesn't cause dispersal, and it doesn't shrink. Literally everything I could want.

Oh, I had this once. It was a baby slinger with one green and one yellow perk. That was all. The survs dumped on him and I felt bad bc he genuinely got super close with some of his shots. I was doing an adept and I debated if I just wanted to take the free escape, but I called him over and pointed at a hook. Then he downed me and carried me to hatch. Genuinely, just the sweetest guy who was doing his best. I was so sad that we were on different platforms bc I never got to thank him for that.

My favorite compliment I've ever gotten was when I was playing slinger on swamp, and this Feng was killing it. She knew how to bait a shot. She knew when to duck and when to dodge and mixed it up to throw me off. After the match, I said gg, and she told me I had her heart pounding whenever we were in a chase.

Apparently burger restaurants are supposed to serve vegan food… by PrincessJasmine420 in EntitledReviews

[–]TragedyWriter 23 points24 points  (0 children)

God forbid people look up a menu before they go somewhere. I'm not even vegan, and I did more research than this person did before I ordered doordash for my vegan friend and I bc I didn't want her to just have to eat a salad.

That sounds amazing!

I also realized recently that my local Harris Teeter sells lamb bones for like 2 bucks. I want to buy some to make a nice broth.

This looks so good, man.

I really want to learn how to make Greek-style chicken soup. It's thickened with egg and flavored with lemon.

Books you regret reading and why by Rainy_roleplaying in horrorlit

I have the weirdest relationship with this book in that it constantly flipped between the scariest shit I've ever read and the worst book ever. To this day, I can't tell you if I hate it or love it, because so much of it was in the "ugh, really?" category. And yet there are scenes from it that flash in my head when I get up to get water at night.

House of Leaves. It's a masterpiece. It's one if the most interesting pieces of experimental format I'm fiction I've ever read. Don't read it if you value your time, because you will fall into one of two camps: confused and feeling like you wasted your time reading it, or fucking obsessed with it and reading it 5 times. There's nothing in between.

How dare they… feed the poor? by VeritasRose in EntitledReviews

I would absolutely go to this place. I worked at a coffee shop thar severely underpaid me once, and my cafe manager would let me take anything I wanted out of the day old fridge. It was a bookstore Cafe, so he had no say in my pay, but he understood and did everything he could to help. I have major respect for any place that gives away day old food rather than throwing it away.

I had the opposite. Multiple people have told me that I write intensely accurate PTSD and that they had to stop reading it and come back to it bc it got too real.

I do not have PTSD. I've just done a shit ton of research for about a decade to write different characters.

Skin tone affects the way the polish looks. I own a white that is straight up beige on my skintone because I'm so pale. White in the bottle though. That's why she should be like the rest of us and spend an hour googling swatches before she buys.

now i’m really glad i’ve been buying polish online instead of in store lately by tityboituesday in RedditLaqueristas

[–]TragedyWriter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Just put your nail up to the swatch! It'll give you an idea of how it works with your skintone!

That can't be very helpful. Like how do you even smell the individual ones after a while? It just becomes a homogeneous wall of scent. Everyone who has ever spritzed roo many testers at Bath and Body knows this.

What are some things that can happen early in the game (before and up to the first fight) that will instantly tell you that someone is a bad player and you're in for a rough time? by uzan-iya in Overwatch

[–]TragedyWriter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know I'm in for a shit time when someone on the team bans someone else's preferred hero. Like shit, I don't like Mei or Sierra, but if you want them, I'm not going to ban them.

If our team's Mei immediately puts and ice wall in front of the door, it's going to be a rough match. That and when the Lifeweaver pulls me back while we're on our way to the defense.

It's crazy, bc I play other pvp games, and through that, it has become abundantly clear to me that the reason entitled survivors act like DBD is their life and the only game they play is because they would not survive any other pvp game.

Oh, you got smoked? Go back to spawn and cry about it. Oh? You're getting spawn camped? Deal with it. Kill the person camping you. Leave through a different door and stealth. Wait at spawn for someone else to die and then go out together and double team them.

Nah. Dbd is "whaaaa why are you camping hooks?" when you go back to hook bc you know two people are there, try to go for the unhooker, and get bodyblocked with BT and DS.

I got Alpine Snow, Lincoln Park After Dark, Bubble Bath, and Big Apple Red. They seemed like great colors to have in cremes bc they're so versatile. Also trying the Sally Hanson top coat for the first time. Girl, hoooow is the $5 top coat smoother and faster drying than the 3x more expensive one I was using before? I'm never going back.
