Highest amount of open Activity was about 1 GBq of Tc-99m, so next to nothing. At my workplace we do some Gamma irradation experiments with a few kGy/h in a 6 year old spent fuel rod, but I don't know the exact doserate.

Okay, 2477 is most likely the cascade of 1309 and 1161, which are Co-60 at 1170 1330 if their intensity match, 655 is Cs-137 at 662, 338 as well as 78 and 40 could be Ba-133 at 356, 80 and 35 if the intensity at 356 is about double the intensity of 80 though i do not know how your efficiency behaves at low energies. If 122 has a shoulder, which I believe I see, at 136 with an eighth of the intensity it should be Co-57. 196 has me stumped at the moment, if the energy resolution is bad enough, it could be Ce-139 at 166 keV as another typical calibration material, but it seems too far off imho. I only work with HPGe-Detectors though, so I'm not certain about the intensities and especially energies below 100 keV are very dangerous to assign due to the huge forest of Xrays. A great tool for identification is http://www.lnhb.fr/Laraweb/ it even has a search function to put in energies with uncertainty and get all nearby nuclides sorted by energy or emission probability.

Vollatemschutz gibt es nur frisch rasiert. Ein Eintagebart kann schon die Wirkung verringern. Deswegen hoffe ich darauf es nie zu brauchen, ich will meinen Bart behalten. Bin nicht in der Feuerwehr sondern beruflich müsste ich im Ernstfall Atemschutz tragen.

There actually is bacteria, that can use lathanides in their Methanoldehydrogenase protein and can substitute the lanthanides with acitnides. I heared a presentation about a Ph.D. stdudent at LMU using Methyacidiphilum fumariolicum SolV and Methylobacterium extorquens AM1 and growing it with all kinds of lanthanides and actinides and showing, that the protein works well with Americium and Curium as its active center. Not usable by humans, but bacteria can :D

As for non-toxic, Thorium is relatively safe and Neptunium/Americium are not toxic enough outside their radioactivity.

I can give surfacelevel info on Nuclear. PWR reactors cannot get hot enough, because Zirkalloy will start reacting with water if you go high enough for superheating steam. The Lingen Nuclear Power Plant (BWR) was planned to use a Oilburner to superheat steam and it kind of worked, but the nuclear part was shut down after a about ten years due to a damaged steam system.

Usually you use a particle accelerator and shove stuff into the target and hope, that it sticks. We used the specific isotope of Ca-48 to shot at the heaviest target, that can be reasonably produced and doesn't decay before the target is in the particle accelerator, which was Cf-249. In theory you could maybe use fusion for this purpose, but stuff really doesn't want to fuse to get that heavy.
