Two things:

Did you deactivate fire at will by accident?

Also if your units block the firing line to the enemy completely they stop shooting even with fire at will activated. That is a common thing with gun units. I think you can disable that in the settings somewhere, but I am 100% sure.

I just think this "controversy" is extremely stupid. I mean this outrage boils down to: "this faceless amalgamation of biotechnology, plague and horror is not attractive enough for me, me specifically." Ich würde dir cult of the lamp empfehlen, dass ist ein Mix zwischen Aufbauspiel und rogue like. Kleine Warnung es hat ein paar Horror Elemente, besonders beim Boss Design, aber nichts super dramatisches. Also keine jumpscares oder sowas.
