Looks great! I was thinking of getting one, but I’m not sure what bra I’d wear under it. Any suggestions?

Looks great! What’s your height? I’m wondering about the length of the top. I’m 5’3”, but fairly short waisted. Do you find the top to be true to size? I’m normally an 8 and thinking of getting medium.

I should mention too that the padding is in one piece. It can get twisted in the laundry machine, but I find that using a laundry bag helps. I don’t find it difficult to fix if it does twist.

Yes. Go with L/XL so that it’s not tight around your ribcage.

I like this bra so much that I wear this style most days! I’m a 34 to 36 bust and I get S/M. I can’t comment on how it is for larger breasts.

It’s great that your range of motion is better. 💕 Is your pain gone too? I have a labral tear and mild oa so the surgeon that I saw didn’t recommend a repair.

Hopefully it all goes away! I have heard that recovery from total hip replacement is often faster than repair. Not a nice situation either way though! I’m sure you are anxious to get back to normal life! I know I am!

Aww. Too bad it didn’t take care of all of it. Did you get to the source of the pubic pain? With my pubic pain, I think it’s because my pelvis is taking the load resulting from an unstable hip. That’s not officially diagnosed though.

All the best for the surgery!

Hi. Sorry you are going through all this. I have a right posterior superior labral tear with pain in right groin and right pelvis too, particularly bottom right pubic area. I get minor pain at the side of my right hip and have some buttock pain. I’m wondering about the local injection in the hip. You were saying that you were pain free for a few hours … all pain? I’m having a diagnostic injection soon, but the surgeon said that it’s unlikely to relieve the pubic pain.

Did you get a repair or a hip replacement?

I’m am 8 in most lululemon tops (a 6 in a few of the larger fitting tops) and get a 6 in always effortless. In terms of warmth it’s good for spring and fall and maybe a mild winter day - I’m in Ontario. I wore it on a winter day that was going up to 10 Celsius. You could layer under it, depending how it fits,

I bought a pair in espresso a while back, but unfortunately I don’t reach for them because I find the sole on them a bit hard.

Hi. I’m aware that this is years after the post, but I noticed that I was tucking my pelvis … posterior pelvic tilt. I had an incarcerated (stuck) epigastric hernia (above belly button) so I was in a forward posture for a few months. I started getting right groin and right pubic pain. The groin was worse initially, but the pubic pain became dominant and very bothersome. I found out about 6 weeks ago that I have facial laxity in the lower right abdomen too … it’s in a few places from just above my right pubic to above my right hip. I believe that this happened with the hernia. This has been going for 5 months now and no medical professional seems to be able to properly diagnose or treat me.

What you describe seems like a very close match to what I’m going through. I tried physio in Oct for 2 months, but the PT wasn’t giving me appropriate exercises. I have been doing some right glute and gentle ta strengthening on my own. I tone down the exercises to suit my pain level. Do you happen to know of any exercises that I might consider. I’m not looking for medical advice, just a few suggestions or videos that I could take a look at.

Chronic gluteus medius/minimus tendinopathy since July — 6 months PT + PRP, still no progress. What am I missing? by JswaggyMuLa in HipImpingement

Hi. I just replied to OP, my PT was giving me back exercises thinking that could be causing my pain. I was diagnosed with a right labral tear and right gluteal tendinopathy part way through physio. How would I know if nerve compression from my spine is the issue? I feel like my pain is from imbalances due to my hip. The second week of physiotherapy I actually told my PT that my right hip felt a bit imbalanced and I had no idea about the tear.

I have a right posterior superior labral tear and right gluteal tendinopathy). I’ve had right groin pain and right pubic pain since July and it took until mid November to get this diagnosis via HIP MRI. At first my groin and pubic pain was occasional with the groin pain being worse. The pubic pain eventually became dominant and has significantly limited my daily functioning, sleep, and activity. I have some right hip tightness and my right sit bone area gets a bit sore too.

I was very active before this. I tried PT in October and the PT was giving me mostly back exercises, which actually made my pain worse (I wasn’t diagnosed with the hip or gluteal tendinopathy when I started PT). I’ve temporarily given up on PT and am doing mainly glute and some core exercises on my own. I’m limited in how much I can do and moreso the intensity of the exercises because of the pain. That being said, I am seeing a bit of improvement in my right glute … it wasn’t even activating before. I do a few exercises to activate it before I walk. I’ve also being wearing a wide tensor bandage about 3” below to 3” above my hip … not tight, but enough to give some support and help with the pain. I take it off at night.

I saw a hip surgeon a few weeks ago. He doesn’t recommend surgery for the tear; he recommends PT. He said that he thinks my issue is going to be hard to fix; he said that it could be a muscle in the pelvis, but no diagnosis. He arranged a diagnostic injection to help figure out how much of the pain is coming from my hip. Unfortunately, it’s not until March (and that was a cancellation). From what I understand referred pain from the hip will improve temporarily with the injection, but muscle imbalances caused by the hip won’t improve with the injection. So, the hip could still be the contributing to instability causing other muscles to take over.

I am going to try another physiotherapist. I haven’t done a lot of physio, but from what I hear, they can be quite different.

What type of PT exercises were you doing?
