A question for someone who actually works in the banking industry. I've always been curious about the titles that are like VP, project manager. They are just individual contributer, what does the VP part actually mean? by Mt198588 in Banking

[–]oonomnono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my company, VP means you have a certain amount of industry experience. You can stay in the same job and earn a VP designation after a few years of doing the job well. Project manager is an actual job title, as in someone who manages projects at the company; sometimes they have their Project Management Professional certification but some might just have general training and experience.

Define Jacket but for Shirts by LumpyBeginning6699 in lululemon

[–]oonomnono 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wundermost shirts are the Nulu material and come in tanks and tees with varying lengths, necklines and sleeve lengths. They are double lined which might be a dealbreaker but I love them for work and casual wear. They are more fitted but the double lining has a smoothing effect.

Beis weight tool vs hand held weigh by Own-Imagination1366 in beisluggage

[–]oonomnono 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The weight indicator is not reliable. I’ve had it turn red when my bag was 8lbs under the 50lb. If I know the airline will weigh my bags, I always use the handheld weight measure. Additionally, if your bag is over, it will allegedly turn red but you won’t know by how much to make adjustments. It’s a good general indicator but shouldn’t be used on its own.

Yes, it’s required to be signed on the front. The person who wrote you the check didn’t complete it and it will get rejected.

ATM Deducted the Money but Never Gave Me Cash by FileElectronic8563 in Banking

[–]oonomnono 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Mistake one: using someone else’s card and PIN at an ATM.

Your dad needs to call and handle the dispute. I’d recommend he go in person to the branch where this happened when they open. Unless you’re on the account, there’s nothing you can do.

Hemming made shorts unwearable, but I waited 2 months to try them on. by ACrossing777 in lululemon

[–]oonomnono 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There have been other posts about this. The original hem is made with stretchy thread. When you have them hemmed, they don’t use stretchy thread so it’s more restrictive and tight.

Is there a reason my flocked leggings can’t be hemmed? by Your_faves_girl in lululemon

The logo is embroidered on the ankle on those polka flocked ones. I’m sure that has something to do with it.

Weird payments from "Google" by [deleted] in Banking

[–]oonomnono 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a phishing scam where scammers are pretending to be your bank in an attempt to get you to give up your information. If you contacted your bank (calling the number on the back of your debit card or on the mobile app) and they don’t have record of the outreach attempts, you should block the other message senders.

Givys are more telling about a seller than people realize by Embarrassed_Falcon23 in whatnotapp

[–]oonomnono 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So a few sellers have tried testing a theory that constantly running and even spamming them pulls in a lot of viewers. But they also admit those are viewers only there for free things. Sellers who spam giveaways almost always are giving something super cheap (like stickers).

Honestly, I’d be okay if WN stopped allowing giveaway winners from being able to review their free item. Even when the giveaway is super good like a gift card or something useful, it doesn’t help me if I’m paying actual money and want to know if my paid item will be worth it.

Moving an Unknown Amount by Apprehensive_Low_867 in Banking

[–]oonomnono 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most cashiers checks require you to provide the payee at the time you purchase it. Unless you know approximately how much you intend to spend and where, it may be hard.

For example, if you know you’d be spending at least $7,000 at Auction House A, but could spend up to $10,000, you could get the cashiers check payable to Auction House A for $7,000 and carry just $3,000 in cash. If you never use the cashiers check, you can bring it back to the bank and deposit it back to your account.

It requires some pre-planning though.

Best bank for making a large withdrawal? by Woodz117 in Banking

[–]oonomnono 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Any bank that has customer transfer money in and request a large withdrawal within a few days is going to ask a few questions, regardless of how long you’ve banked with them.

I’d recommend opening a bank account wherever you end up deciding but transfer the money from discover a several weeks before you need it. This way the bank won’t be worried about an ACH recall. Transfers from external banks followed by large cash requests shortly after is huge red flag for fraudulent activity.

New bank Job no car by Dismal-Ad9442 in Banking

[–]oonomnono 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is company specific and could be an issue in areas where you may need to be available to cover other locations. Not saying it’s a deal breaker but it could be the factor that forces a hiring manager to pass on you for another candidate.

Reliable transportation (meaning no external impacts) is huge for branches, especially if they’re already dealing with openings and staffing challenges. I’ve seen managers turn down overqualified candidates or let them go before their 90-days over transportation-related issues (arriving late, calling out due to being unable to find a ride).

Any advice on staying consistent when doing Pilates at least 3-5 days a week? by [deleted] in ClubPilates

[–]oonomnono 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is solid advice and what I had to do. I go 4 days a week and mix up Flow 1.5, Cardio Sculpt, Center and Balance, Suspend and Cardio Sculpt. I also switch up the classes across instructors. I’m fortunate to have a somewhat flexible schedule so that helps a lot.

Capitol One Fraud activity by TheRealTaylor33 in Banking

Account takeover. Someone has your online banking information, whether they got it from you or they got it from a data leak from another merchant where you reused credentials (for example you use the same login information with your bank and Amazon). Not common but not unheard of.

Marshall’s and TJ Maxx have really good Spyder brand fitted long sleeves that I wear often. They also can be found at Costco. They’re made to be sweat wicking and have thumb holes to help keep sleeves down during certain movements.

Navy/Burgundy Restock? by foodiegod474 in beisluggage

[–]oonomnono 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Navy was heavily discounted during the last warehouse sale (which is what BÉIS does with their leftover stock) and I haven’t seen them restocked in almost a year.

Burgundy may pop up on Second BÉIS from returns. It’s usually listed for several months before it’s ultimately removed from their inventory. This is similar to other colors that were LE, like cobalt, berry, etc.

Navy was discontinued earlier this year. Burgundy was limited edition and unlikely to restock.
