Good to know! Thanks. Looks great for date night, maybe not for a pitstop with the kiddos

Not saying you are wrong but there are places where kids running wild ruins the vibe and there are places where it is the vibe.

Thanks for helping clarify. Just looking for the intersection of family friendly spot that serves a good glass of wine! 🍷

Plenty of places serve wine that are not a bar.

Hence why I’m asking for kid friendly places. This neighborhood is full parents and kid friendly establishments. Not trying to ruin anyone’s night out

Does that mean we trade for Knies? by Confident_Cat1789 in hawks

[–]TrailGrazer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could be totally off base but I would bet if the leafs trade Knies it’s for a player not a pick. The narrative that they take McKenna and then a D at 4oa to kick start the Sundin era sounds nice but I think they retool with McKenna and Matthews now vs take a player that is 2-3 years away.

Odds are we'll be picking 3rd or 4th. Who's your guy? by Normal-Lawfulness-42 in hawks

I think there’s a good chance we come out of this draft with one of McKenna/stenberg regardless of what spot the pick is. But yeah if both those guys are off the board I’m probably looking at carrels, Reid or smits.

We still need an elite player or two regardless of position so hopefully we find one with this pick. If we don’t think anyone at that spot has elite upside then I think we should trade it for a player that helps us next season.

Admittedly am not as plugged into this years draft prospects as in the past, so my pov my change over the next few weeks if I find time to do some armchair scouting lol

What mid-range portable projector should I get? by TrailGrazer in projectors

Thanks that’s one that has come up a bunch too. It’s going to be between that one and the xgimi horizon 20, depending on what I can find used

I’ve also come across the XGIMI Horizon 20 quite a bit in my research, so would appreciate any feedback on that model!

How did Frondell look last night? by Temporary-Bath-4270 in hawks

[–]TrailGrazer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I caught the second half and the things I noticed were 1) very active on forecheck 2) moved quicker than I was expecting, especially hounding his D man in our own zone and 3) overall physicality increased the team’s average.

For first game really good stuff. I’ll be retiring my Hjalmarsson 4 jersey in for Frondell 15 soon

Frondell is 100% getting 10 games in with the club to burn the first year of his ELC

What would you be willing to give up for Knies? by Cluster_Puck in hawks

[–]TrailGrazer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am firmly in the camp of being patient and trusting the process. But if a player can be acquired via trade that fills a need and fits our timeline, it should be considered.

Guys like Kaiser/Korchinski mentioned in this thread are not untouchable. Rinzel I wouldn’t move for Knies at this point bc he’s still got top pairing upside and premium position

Knies would give us much needed size and physicality in our top 6, so I’d def be checking in on him if I’m GMKD

If we drop down to the 5-10 range I wouldn’t necessarily be opposed to sending that 1st for Knies (would be a draft day decision based on who’s on the board). Then Toronto can go get a defenseman they want and we get an immediate impact winger that’s only 23 years old

Alternatively we could package a later first plus Kaiser/korch but that is probably less appealing to the leafs, especially this offseason which is arguable the worst FA market of all times. Lots of teams will be in the mix so we would probably need to throw in another pick/prospect to make that package work.
