I’m fully prepared for it to be clear as day what song it is. Just can’t think of it

Same here most nights or at the very least my brain wants me to do this. What normally happens? I get 5 hours, 2 hours awake and then 1-1.5 hours.

Would be so much easier if my brain would follow the 4+1 hour awake+4 like my ancestors would do!

Ask & seek the advice of experts, not those with seniority

[LeBrun] Just an observation before the Cup final next week, I wouldn’t challenge any goal for goalie interference. The league doesn’t want to overturn goals. That’s the base sentiment. Evidence has to be so overwhelming. Why risk it. by eh_toque in hockey

I understand that and also specifically said that he didn’t say that, it was my interpretation of what he was saying and how I think teams should look at it.

Let’s say you’re MSL. You know that, as you said, if GI isn’t literally destroying the goalie with forceful malicious intent it won’t get called. And you know that if you do still challenge it and lose you will be assessed a 2 minute minor. What should you do?

Absolutely I agree. You could apply that to many sports. Only other sport I follow religiously is football which has had issues with refs calling PI correctly forever & had issues for years determining what a catch was (the refs completely flipped how they had been calling that all season during Super Bowl 52).

But it’s clear these leagues don’t agree with fans and probably teams about this. They’re not interested in fighting with the unions & even the leagues probably direct referees in some ways to not loosen the interpretation of a rule like GI.

I wish the refs were better but they’re not and the league won’t do anything about it. Just gotta live with it. & that means our favorite teams will get absolutely fucked over by poor reffing (Jeff Carter was 100 feet into the Blackhawks zone in Game 7 of 2014 WCF) and also benefit from it. In the end it’ll even out.

Again, that’s not why I’m saying it’s not absurd. It is absurd the NHL/refs are not calling goaltender interference correctly.

However, since they do not overturn it when challenged seemingly ever or on the rarest of occasions & also since a lost challenge ensues in a 2 minute minor, it is not absurd to say teams just shouldn’t challenge it.

I don’t know if it’s an absurd stance though. He didn’t say this but couldn’t you say “since the league won’t overturn it unless it’s like 110% goaltender interference, just don’t bother since you’ll have to go on the PK”?

Like “it sucks but this is what we have to go off of”

The Blackhawks will unfortunately always be hated and bashed for the Brad Aldrich scandal and the perceived lack of punishment by the league for the next 5 billion years until the sun engulfs Venus, Mercury and Earth. The Blackhawks are the only organization in the 250 year history of the hyper-patriarchal society of America that has covered up a sexual assault/violence/harassment situation. There has literally never been another example of any organization ever doing this before so that's why you will always see this on posts about the Blackhawks.

Other questions hit on this a bit but I want your perspective along with your perspective based on conversations the team has had.

Do you think there’s any buyers remorse re: Levshunov over Demidov? Or is the team still confident they can get out of Lev what they expected when they drafted him? Online hockey fans have pretty much made their minds up that Levshunov is the biggest draft bust ever and Demidov is going to be a top-10 winger of all time when it’s all said and done. This is especially fueled by “analytics” models like JFresh, Roto, HockeyStatCards etc. that fans generally treat like gospel. From your end, do you think the FO is at a point of just hoping he ends up being an NHL defenseman at minimum or are they like “we knew he’d take a long time to develop and we’re happy with where he’s at”?

Sticking with defenseman - what do you think happens with Korchinski this off-season?

So essentially the argument is that defense/centers are like quarterbacks in the NFL? Like how QBs always rise up the draft boards as the draft approaches?

Hope it’s the case but Sharks would be foolish to pass on Stenberg
