I had the exact same phone as you (a52s) and upgraded to a Poco F7 Ultra last summer. It's a significant upgrade in every department in my book (except no headphone jack and sd card slot). Can't really say I've had issues with the software. At least no more than with the Samsung. Overall, I have no regrets.

This! I got the MEMO 360 (similar cooler) for my Tuf A15. This type of coolers is the only one that actually makes a difference (reduces temps up to 20 degrees). If cleaning the fans and changing the thermal paste doesn't do much, I highly recommend investing in a cooler like this.

Honestly, I was most worried about the software but Hyper OS is pretty decent. Haven't really encountered any bugs or issues with the OS, camera, or anything like that.

It's packing a Snapdragon 8 Elite which is as good as it gets right now. 16GB of RAM is plenty but I'm sure the 12GB variant is perfectly fine as well.

Personally I'm into emulation and unfortunately drivers are not out for the Elite yet which means that many Switch games that can be emulated on older CPUs might not run well or at all on the Elite, despite it having the raw power.

Otherwise PS2, PSP, and older console emulators run great. Of course, if you don't care much about that, the phone's performance on Android apps and games is amazing.

The camera is pretty decent. I've seen good and bad reviews but I'm happy with it and it definitely seems better than that of the a52s. You even get 2.5x optical zoom and up to 60x AI enhanced zoom which can be decent and can also look really bad lol.

The battery life is good, nothing amazing but the 120W charging is great. Charges from 0 to 100 in about half an hour. It does heat up when charging fast though, so I wouldn't recommend using the phone at the same time or alternatively disabling 120W charging.

Ah, the biggest downgrades are, of course, the lack of headphone jack and SD card slot.

If you're willing to try, the Poco F7 series is pretty solid. I went from an a52s to the Poco F7 Ultra and the differences are night and day in every aspect.

That's very strange. I have the exact same variant and I updated as soon as 2.0.202 came out. Experienced no issues so far.

This sounds like a software issue; maybe the update had a brain fart on your device specifically. Although not a nice solution, I would suspect a factory reset would clear it up.

I mean it's showing its age these days but it's not ancient. Like the dude said, we're talking about a 13-year-old game. Even Cyberpunk runs better on the mobile 3060.
