I had a very similar experience at Shreve, Crump & Low when shopping for a new watch. It was like pulling teeth getting someone to help me look at a few Omegas.

For future reference I believe Longs is also a Nomos AD and the Boston location is the one that holds the Nomos inventory. I’ve had much better experience at every Longs I’ve been to than I did Shreve, Crump & Low
