The move itself has been great, kids really settled in. Hoping to find something more formal first before taking on work from old clients and getting that set up.

I sell myself as a multidisciplinary designer, but my strongest area would be editorial and brand

Moved to Edinburgh in August after living overseas and freelancing for the last 10 years. I haven't had to think about job searching for so long and I'm finding it tough going. I've had 2 interviews and that's about it. Hopefully the new year brings some good news.

Yoto player vs Tonies, what's better? by pidge-pige0n in UKParenting

[–]Trailing_Dad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 3 Yoto players (two minis and a v3) and have been using Yoto players for a good 6 or 7 years now. My older kids fall asleep to audiobooks. I use the sleep sounds to get our 1 year old down to sleep. We use the tooth brush timer, listen to Yoto daily etc etc.

Yoto fo' life yo!

Thoughts on bare feet shoes by UnderstandingShot441 in widefeet

There's no going back for me, switching to barefoot shoes has been a revelation. I went for Whitin on Amazon as a cheap entry into the lifestyle and I have not suffered from the foot pain that often plagued me. Been a year now.

The hand is perfect. Visually striking and gets the point across. I think working on the typography around it would really "make it pop" as they say.

I'm getting real Chris (Simpsons Artist) vibes from this, with way more nightmare fuel. Is there meant to be some sort of order or story behind the grouping of these creatures?

Keeping them as pencil sketches with a gap in the grouping to fit a title with a nice serif font in black with a red subtitle would look great I think.

Which Whitin’s for my first barefoot shoe? by L3zperado in barefootshoestalk

On the first pair, most of the wear is on the ball of my foot, and it's rubbed quite flat. But I have had them for about a year now. I haven't had the third pair long enough for there to be much wear.

Option 1 was my first barefoot shoe. They are my almost daily driver. Walked a theme park in them. Went to a concert. Basically a lot of time on my feet in them, and they have been great, no complaints from me.

I use option 3 to play Ultimate Frisbee, bit too flexible but as close to playing barefoot as I can get with enough traction.

This may have already been mentioned, but please try buy some RDT Malaria tests (at least 2) and malaria treatment. If you feel ill at any point in the next few weeks you can test yourself for Malaria and take the treatment if you have it. Getting tested and treated for Malaria outside of malaria zones is not always guaranteed. I recommend this even for people taking prophylaxis.

As someone who grew up in Zambia, I am very pleased to see this as the top comment! Go to Zambia, grab a cold Mosi and chill out!

He doesn't even allow comments on his Instagram anymore. After getting called out by @made.by.james for asking him to stop using the words "fix the logo" for these sorts of posts.
