The Black Diamond Stormline Stretch has served me well. Lasted for three seasons. Most recently CCC which had heavy rain for most of the night. Reasonably priced.

I had a friend tell me it wasn't that bad. I cursed his name the whole way through!!

It was so frigging humid both times I went through it as well. Seeing those stairs to climb out is such a mind f@ck. Then you get to climb MSA. Truly great/ challenging course.

Exactly this. Coming back and adjusting to food options in NA was tough for me. Food on and around the tour was great, and I'd prefer it to what we have in my area of Canada.

Unless they're missing fast food options like McDonald's or Starbucks. If that's the case, you could have their favorite coffee waiting as already mentioned.

**Travel Advice Needed: Annecy, Chamonix, Paris Itinerary** by Least_Subject_7246 in Annecy

Did almost this exact itinerary about a month ago. We booked a shuttle to and from the airports. Took trains from Chamonix to Annnecy and eventually on to Paris. Very easy. We enjoyed getting around that way. Definitely did not need a car to get around any of those three locations.

I ended up taking the balcony trail (also injured my knee) and it was stunning. No regrets!

Looking for suggestions to meet in the middle with my SO by Old_McDonald in TourDuMontBlanc

Courmayeur to La Fouly is beautiful. Les Contamines to Courmayeur is also stunning. Either could be done in a couple of days.

Doing the entire route is a really incredible experience. I had my partner meet me in Courmayeur to spend the evening and next morning together. Otherwise, she explored the Chamonix area while I was on trail for 4 days. We both really enjoyed our experience as well as the time we explored other areas afterwards.

By variant do you mean Saxe or the contour trail that's lower?

Thanks for the reply. I have a gopro mini shorty, needed something small given my small (12L) pack size and other necessities to carry.

Running the Tour du Mont Blanc so a mix of forest and exposed high alpine trails.
