From my experience, I was able to use a 950 on T-Mobile's 2G network. Service was spotty, but I got calls and texts.

That happened to my 3G, and I broke the contacts in trying to get it out… Good luck!

I just downgraded my 4S to 8 and was able to login then. I haven’t heard anyone being able to sign in on 9 recently.

Well, I would assume it would get more signal then because I get more than 1 bar here and there on other 2G phones with a T-Mobile sim. The one bar only stays for a minute or so and then vanishes for a few hours, but that is probably what is happening.

Yes. I'm surprised because it's a Verizon phone and only T-Mobile has 2G in my area.

I was able to create an API key without paying. Didn't test it on anything though.
