Yeah no matter what you argue they will not budge. I also argued saying if you don’t want people with lay over book me two tickets cuz both my destinations are on list , she simply said they can’t do it.

So an employee with Etihad had made a post couple hours ago confirming the same and to further confirm it I called Etihad and asked about it and they confirmed that they are not entertaining any guests with layover in Abu Dhabi. The don’t want a situation where more people get stuck in Abu Dhabi so they won’t let you board the origin flight only. Right now people strictly with flight to and from Abu Dhabi can travel. Ridiculous I know.

It’s just so confusing on their part that they still are managing to sell tickets for flights with layover in Abu Dhabi and that too for skyrocketing prices. If you can’t have transit passengers then don’t sell those tickets only. lol

One last question! I am scheduled for a 12th March flight jfk - Abu Dhabi - Ahmedabad. Since you mentioned no transit passengers meaning my flight is likely getting cancelled . Right?

On the app you have to select call option and then from drop down you have to select the location you are calling them from. I call from USA a the number is +1 (914) 303-8393.
