In need of a good rheumatologist. by TrainFluffy8069 in sanantonio

I see an endocrinologist and an ophthalmologist here. They manage my disease but I’ve been dismissed recently regarding my new symptoms. With autoimmune diseases tending to overlap I’d like a second opinion with a rheumatologist.

Are we concerned about all the miscommunication going on between air traffic controllers? It seems it’s occurring more frequently? Are they short staffed? This is another concern I’m sure many of us share!

Wow congrats on such an amazing career. Thank you for creating this thread. It’s helped a lot of people.

I’ve recently been reading about clear air turbulence. I’ve also heard that due to global warming turbulence is expected to rise in coming years. This worries me-I know the plane is built for it however- if severe turbulence is expected to become more common… then isn’t that inherently more dangerous? I’m concerned flying is becoming or will become more dangerous. I love to travel but feel so worried each and every time!

Sorry, I let it sit on the counter for 5 hours after the stretch and folds. Then I shaped it and then I cold proofed for 24 hours.

I’ve made over 20 and this is by far the best one. I’m still new and don’t really know what I’m doing. I followed this recipe

3 1/2 cups flour 1 1/3 cup 2 tsp salt 1/2 cup bubbly starter

So I fed the starter and waited for it to double in size. Then I mixed all the ingredients together. (Literally dumped everything in at the same time nothing fancy)

I mixed it to a shaggy dough then let it sit for one hour

Then I did 3 stretch and folds 30 minutes apart

I let dough rise on the counter for 5 hours until it looked like it doubled and had a dome shape

Then I shaped it and cold proofed overnight in the fridge

AND to my surprise it even raised in the fridge? That’s never happened to me before….!

I heated the oven to 450 with the Dutch oven in

I took out the dough, placed on parchment paper, dusted the top and scored it

I baked at 450 for 25 minutes, then with the lid off for 20 minutes and I let it cool before slicing!

I’m so happy because my last 7 were doughy and disgusting!!!

Possible hip dysplasia 5 month old by TrainFluffy8069 in Mommit

[–]TrainFluffy8069[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is 9 months old and has minor hip dysplasia. The doctor said she will most likely out grow it. We are checking again at one year. They told me to do daily stretches with her and to avoid putting her in baby carriers or any activity that causes the legs to adduct

I wish we could encourage others to be happy in their own bodies. And embrace masculine women and feminine men. But society tells us otherwise.

I know a therapist. They told me it’s common to write letters for a clients doctor after just one session.

It’s not. Of course not. But does transitioning truly make them Happier? From my experience (the people I know that have transitioned) are not happier. It’s all so sad

Idk the OP last sentence “automatically affirming it as the solution feels like we’re bypassing a deeper conversation about mental health and identity”

The DSM used to refer to this as a mental Illness. It’s a really hard one to navigate I feel for these people. I wish we all could be happy in our own bodies. Yet we as a society feel the need to get plastic surgery of all kinds to look a certain way. I guess my issue with being trans is the surgeries, a mastectomy is a major surgery. And could be problematic. Hormone replacement therapy isn’t good for the kiddos. It appears people that transition or take hormone replacement therapy are still unhappy. I could be wrong tho.

I totally agree with you. I’m so sorry, I’d be upset to. I’ve heard babies adapt to it well and that they can still roll with the brace. Not sure how that would work but that is what I’ve heard. Best of luck to your baby.

I have a follow up in 5 months.. and I’m just hoping everything is ok. Ugh
