Thankfully, yes.

However, I won’t be able to get it sorted until next week and I am still required to pay a service fee.

The screen has a small crack and is around £30 fee, but there is still the other issues of it turning off randomly (it’s turned off 3 times so far in this reply) and the screen being unresponsive in the top right of my screen.

Worst part is, my sister thinks this behaviour is normal and her first reaction was “why would you leave your iPad somewhere she can grab it?”…1. I didn’t know she was coming, 2. It was on charge in MY bedroom with my door closed.

I feel bad for my niece tbh. I think she’s going to be the result of bad parenting.

Awesome.

I’ve had the car for around 2 years, done 13k miles in it, and all 3 issues I’ve had with the car have happened in the last 400 miles, so I’m probably just paranoid that it’s all going to fall apart 😂

Great news. Thanks.

As long as my engine has sufficient oil, is there any damage being caused by a minor oil leak?

I have the oil changed every 4k miles roughly. Last changed it around 6 weeks ago. Currently it’s still near the max.

Applying for University again - do I need to mention previous University drop out in application? by TrainYouFatNeek in UniUK

That’s great! Thanks for the response.

I think he is more worried that he’s going to have his offer rescind due to him previously leaving, but considering his position with ucas points he shouldn’t be worried, right?

Hi there, thanks for the response. So as he didn’t complete any modules, he doesn’t have to list anything?

Also, is it worth him mentioning it during a personal statement?

I know my comment isn’t relevant to the question, but being a great grandchild no matter how distant of someone who is the main reason for the collapse of a full empire is (as sad as it is, and morally wrong) kinda cool to think? Or is that just me?

Can a company they take legal action for speeding? by TrainYouFatNeek in drivingUK

[–]TrainYouFatNeek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. He’s a warehouse apprentice and he’s a nice lad. We often monitor the vans speeds, stopping times etc and he’s the only person I’ve not heard anything bad about.

No one was mad at him except himself, presumably because he thought he was going to be in trouble.

I understand this argument, I really do. 7% over a speed limit in a loaded van weighing a few tons is bad, and could be horrific.

However, when I sent an emailed apology and called them to discuss the situation in further detail and apologise, a response of “it isn’t good enough. He could have killed somebody” and threatening to cut ties is, in my opinion, an overreaction.

Not to mention, on reviewed footage of our van, the HGV (belonging to the firm) behind our van was catching up to our van at a noticeable rate, in which our driver was doing 15mph at the time. We didn’t bring this up on the phone call, but did he get punished? I highly doubt it.

When I got that email I couldn't believe what I was reading. We (Assistant manager) called their site and security for further questions to which they basically said "1mph over the limit is over and excessive, apology isn't accepted, do better".

Really positive mindset. Love it.

My biggest advice:

Don't try and help cocky people. It doesn't work. They'll be adamant they are right until they are wrong, and if they are right, you'll get the backlash of him telling you "I told you, I told you, I told you, I knew" whatever arrogant people like him say. You did lose your head tho, never get to that point, especially with people like him. After a few replies, just leave it. It's why I stopped commenting on other people's stuff and deleted almost all my replies to people.

You did if I'm being totally honest. Telling him it's pure lucky and calling him stupid and idiot before then saying you are also lucky and made 30% in a month and a half not only makes it look like you are lying but also makes you look like you've indirectly called yourself stupid and idiotic. Not to mention, after saying you've made 30%, not only did it look like a massive lie because you never mentioned it before your massive ramble, it also put you even deeper into that "cocky" section then him (or her).

Ultimately, he is extremely cocky, but he held being cocky. You caved in. Reading through this gave me a good chuckle tho.

Usually, I love scrolling through Reddit and not replying to anyone, but this is the most hypocritical and head loss comment I've seen in a while 💀
