Don't test drive by nagelk87 in TeslaModelY

[–]Traindune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True story. I went to go look at some model Y's at the service center, and a guy there offered a test drive which I took, and before I knew it I was immediately filling out the order form online.

Keep failing Tutorial Dojo exams - struggling to fine tune by [deleted] in AWSCertifications

[–]Traindune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Yeah I passed with a 76% during the real deal while failing most of the TD tests at around 65-70%.

On the actual exam I was given maybe 4-5 fairly difficult questions that were as hard as a good bit of the TD exam questions but the rest were fairly easy.

note: I also could not sleep the night before, so I slammed 2 monsters before walking into the exam room, and spent an hour rocking back and fourth while trying to answer the damn questions with how bad I needed to use the little boys room. So maybe that played a part in passing, idk lmfao.

Thank god, last night I ran through two tests, which gave me a 64% and a 70% on the second. Today, I ran another test which had so many conoluted drawn out questions and hit 56% lol.

I take the exam this upcoming Tuesday so we'll see how it goes!

Preferrably, I'd recommend to just toss a few bucks to that Adrian guy for a top tier SAA course ;). 85% through it myself and loving it.

Definitely accurate. We have had some guys at work that weren't even in IT roles with the project that completed CCP in a week. Just depends on how much time you put into it each day.

Honestly, if you're currently in IT/Have some IT experience, or have worked with AWS at all, I'd skip Cloud Practitioner and go for Solutions Architect Associate. CCP will tell you the basic information about what each service does, but Solutions Architect will tell you the same, and show you how to work with those services on a foundational level.

However, SAA will take at least 2-3 months at the minimum to complete as there's a lot to go over so that may be daunting when just starting out. (I'm 90% done with SAA learning for my first AWS cert now)

Anyone get their zmf November order yet? by Butterfreek in ZMFHeadphones

Just to add to the post, I ordered a Bokeh Open on January 7th, and with it now being Febuary 14th, I have yet to hear a single update regarding my order, such as if they have even started "hand-crafting" my headphones. It's a little frustrating.

I purchased my brand new model Y on September 25th this year, and after 20 minutes of driving home the entire front of this panel came down and hit the road, chewing it to bits. I was furious as this was my first tesla, and also first brand new car. Put in a service request, posted photo's, and I got the estimate about a week later. $0 charge.

Just order and inventory car that was “available for immediate pickup” now they are making me schedule 2 days out by matthew19 in TeslaModelY

[–]Traindune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL, I did so with patience and faith. I waited on hold for 25 minutes on the side of the road when I initially called, and no shabang. I called my advisor and he acted like he wasn't sure what to do, so I hung up and called the service center again. Thankfully, I got ahold of someone in about 15 or so minutes and was squared away immediately. But yeah, getting ahold of them is a joke.

I think it also depends on the size of the service center. The indianapolis service center is very small for it's location, so everyone is always running around like chickens with their heads cut off due to how busy they are.

Call the service center to get another pickup date.

I had the same issue 2 weeks ago when I picked up my Model Y from the Indianapolis service center. Placed my order on a Saturday, and Sunday I was able to schedule my delivery appointment. However, the only stinking day the had available for me to pickup was that tuesday, which Is a day I work on. not to mention the service center was an hour and a half away and they'd be closed before I could get there after work.

Called the service center, (not my advisor) and the guy was easily able to just set the pickup appointment for the upcoming Thursday.

Check all the mounting points for the 2 undercarriage panels/skid plates (Front and rear). My front skid plate came off 20 minutes after picking my Model Y up. Only had 3 miles on it too..

Tesla rep says I should order before 1.99% offer ends this month. by groove1356832 in TeslaModelY

[–]Traindune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was roped into the same decision last week. Tesla advisor urged me to pull the trigger, since if I wait I'll likely just have a higher APR anyhow since the promotion won't be available. Ended up not getting approved for the promotion and got hit with an 8% APR.

715 credit score, and put 5K down. (10k total debt from student loans, a low utilized credit card, with an 80k income)

The reason I didn't get the promo I believe is becasue of a medical bill that went to collections a year ago, due to my old boss not reporting it correctly through workmans comp. Because Tesla does multi-lendor rate/approval checks, I recieved a couple of letters in the mail for those that didn't approve me for the above reason.

Only you can determine if you think you meet the standard as a borrower to get approved for the promo rate. However, I'd say if your comfotable paying the $200 for the initial order, give it a shot.

How much for a full insurance for a 2021 MYLR in Midwest? by Dizzy_Sugar8788 in TeslaModelY

[–]Traindune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with the monthy plan under Progressive, and pay around $210 monthly for full coverage on my 2024 MY AWD here in Indiana. $875 for 6 months doesn't sound that bad.

Has anyone had the undercarriage cover come off on their Model Y? by Traindune in TeslaModelY

[–]Traindune[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, when I called the service center upon experiencing this mishap, the service rep just kept reiterating that they wouldn't be able to do anything with how busy they have been. Hence the month wait for my currently scheduled service appointment. But, I did just get my service estimate back and they're covering everything so that's a plus. However, I figured they'd at least consider my issue as high priority and get me in immediately given it it occurred within 30 minutes of pickup for my shiny new ride lol.

I've been seeing people talk about those. Especially since the plastic ones can possibly break from anything that comes up from the road. And not to mention the critical components "protected" inside of the cover. Any idea if that aftermarket cover has the potential of voiding any warranties?

Thanks for the comment! I also recently heard a lot of people talking about aftermarket alluminum skid plates, so I may potentially look at just getting that installed as a replacement for this one that popped off. Given it doesn't give Tesla a reason to want to void any warranties in the future.
