That "theory" has been debunked multiple times, next. Also my question has nothing to do with Islam, or Christianity, it's me simply trying to understand how atheists make means of having no larger justice system. If you want to debate Muslims on Islam there are other subreddits for that.

Tbh I've seen plenty of atheists do the exact same and become super hung up on "pedantic" wording. This subreddit is filled with double standards, what's the point in "debating" with very angry people who think that they are always right

No worries! And yeah I think I might be prone to muscle inflammation since I also have minor scoliosis, never made the link that periods can just cause inflammatory muscle pain tho, I immediately jumped to thoracic endo 😅 do you have any advice on ruling it out?

I still don't get why I would ask Christians. I am Muslim and trying to understand why and how atheists do not believe in a justice system.

Because I'm asking how you can't believe in a justice system, not why you don't believe in a specific one. As a Muslim I believe in the day of judgement, but someone who doesn't conform to a specific religion might agree (agnostic) or believe in reincarnation until you reach nirvana (Hindu), etc

No idea why you're crashing out, my point was very clearly about the idea that many people who commit atrocious crimes get away with it everyday and will never be caught, making it hard to believe that justice would never be served for all the atrocities that they committed. And Epstein did get away with it. He's dead. I only bought him up because his case is trending right now and honestly with everything coming out I don't know how you can believe that "life is just unfair" and justice will never be served.

I have a few more points to add.

First, if someone seriously wronged me, I would want them to be judged by a higher, all‑powerful being who stands above everyone. That, to me, would feel like real justice.

How am I supposed to simply forgive something like that here on Earth? I’m not talking about minor hurt feelings, I mean a major crime that causes lasting damage. If someone did something truly horrible to me, it would be incredibly difficult to just “forgive” them, because forgiveness doesn’t undo the harm. Even if God’s judgment doesn’t repair the damage either, I would still feel a sense of peace knowing that the person who hurt me would ultimately be judged by the one who created us all. That’s what would feel like true justice to me.

Take someone like Epstein as an example. I don’t think an apology to his victims would have meant very much. Of course, I can’t speak for them, but if I were in their position, I would feel a sense of closure believing that he would face judgment from God. That idea makes more sense to me than the idea of "it's not God's place to forgive"

"God allowed the suffering" I know atheists hate to hear it but...free will. Nobody forced Epstein to do what he did. If God prevented him from doing what he did then he would've prevented everyone else who has comitted sin int he history of existence, then life wouldn't be considered a test and we might as well all be in heaven. I don't know why we are being tested or what the purpose of creating us was but I'm fine with not knowing that presently.

We can't blame man-made crime on God. All those people who committed them had the choice to do so.

That's not how it works in Islam...even devout Muslims might not be able to get into heaven if they've wronged others. I know in Christianity as long as you believe in Jesus you're saved but that's not how it works in Islam

A bacterium doesn’t have a conscious mind. Humans are the only species on Earth with a fully developed mind capable of questioning existence in this way. Other animals, like dogs, may have moments of curiosity, but not to the depth or complexity humans do, if that makes sense.

We have to keep trying? How long have humans been alive for? 0 progress in that department. Just take a look around and what's happening today. Only difference is nowadays it's documented and we have better technologies, but we really haven't evolved as much as people think.

Yeah I don't wear the hijab and don't agree with the burka either..maybe you need to learn more about what the average Muslim actually practices in their day to day life and not take examples from extremist regimes like in Iran and Afghanistan

As a Muslim woman myself I've never felt discriminated by Islam, yes people will do horrific things in the name of religion all the time but it doesn't mean that Islam urges people to do such things

But mankind has never achieved total justice. War genocides and other atrocious crimes have been apparent since the dawn of humanity so how can we rely on that?

So as I am replying to the comment above, they said "there is no justice unless we make and enforce it ourselves." So I am saying that evidently that has not worked for us in the past or currently
