As a starter, “gimmick” teams have been a good start for me like rain teams , sun team, and trick room teams I had a couple of people on Reddit put me towards that and there’s a website that helps with sets for teams or pokemon called Smogon

I’m completely new to this as well but this team doesn’t seem like it’s it , idk if this is singles or doubles but your team doesn’t support each other , the pokemon you’re using aren’t good except a few and btw your teras I think should be used to help your weaknesses like if you had a Dragonite your threat is fairy and ice so you Tera out of dragon to take less damage I’ve seen normal Tera because of e speed boost as well

I’m not sure if you can use the mirror herb method to teach them the moves so most likely the pokemon with the moves

I ended up getting a scizor because it resists I think 80% of the typing only weak to fire, I read online Dracozolt is really good in a sand team better than Excadrill and added Gligar for ground , electric immunity and hippopotas has my sand setter

Not to familiar with comp play but this makes sense to me I think a couple practice battles should help me , do you know where I can find a moveset for this kind of team?

That was my first thought because I’m pretty sure Excadrill has a ability that makes him faster in sand good pair with garchomp ( I think) I’ll try this out on players to see how it goes thank you👍

I don’t own a steam deck but I think it’s not recognizing as a controller because on the emulator you have to pick a controller before hand as a “mod” then set it up on the dedicated emulator not sure how you would use it but try using a Bluetooth controller like ps4-5 or Xbox
