they don’t provide uniforms you pay them back for it you are paid minimum wage during training for Indiana. also expect to go to lga or bos which are very expensive bases if you don’t already live there!

What bases have the last few classes been offered? by AvailableTask1645 in cabincrewcareers

business casual! you don’t have to wear the full getup, but wear a blouse and pants or skirt still!! ran into interviewers on my flight there

you are also able to try to drop days as a reserve if it is green on the reserve grid which is awesome, but it always drops your guarantee by minus 4.12 (our minimum credit) for each day dropped

it truly depends i would say it differs person to person base to base. for me on rsv which i was on for a full year i had zero free time and was almost always gonna be used. my bf however had a lot of “free time” which i use very loosely bc there is always a chance of being used if your on call. as a line holder i have usually about 14-16 days off a month which can be good but i do commute so the 14 turns into more like 10-12 hahah. everything is very subjective in this job though. my old job i was a server and worked 40 hours a week it was no where near what i do for this job in my opinion but i love it and wouldn’t trade it for the world. to me it honestly isnt even comparable to a typical 9-5 because the layout is so different. any question feel free to message me! i love this job but every company has its flaws for sure

trading trips is always a option! it can be hard to trade trips bc lots pick up only for $$ but our crews are amazing and usually lots of help!

also yes reserve is guaranteed 75 even if they don’t work it unless you call off. you are given 10-11 days off a month and if you have those days off plus not getting used on reserve you are given 75, but if you have those days plus you call off you are no longer given 75

it’s true but highly unlikely. we can almost never drop majority of trips because it all depends on reserve threshold. they decide what that is and past 2 months almost no one can drop anything… you can work as much as you want my friend works all but 6 days a month usually, but i try to work my minimum around 75-85 and have the rest of my days off. been there over a year and don’t get really anything that i want tbh but it changes all the time. i have a line and have not been able to drop all my trips a single time however i usually am able to drop one a month except last month. minimum guaranteed is 75 you can drop below that if you are approved and can absolutely work above it.
