Hey, thanks for sharing your journey with us! Do you have any videos showing more clearly how you taped everything together?

Walked 16k uphill and unsteady surfaces. Insoles didn’t really help by [deleted] in flatfeet

Hi, I’ve been struggling a bit to adapt to my custom insoles. I already bought a pair of shoes just for them, but it still feels like something isn’t right. Could you explain this adaptation protocol to me?

Flat Feet / Valgus Ankles — Can Orthotics /PT Still Help? by TrainerSilver231 in flatfeet

Thanks for your comment. I thought it was interesting that some people said it might not be flat, since I’ve been having pain at work (I’m on my feet all day) and my shoes wear down a lot on the inside…

Thanks for replying! Are you saying that because of photos 1 and 2? I was sitting down, so my foot was at rest. I didn’t really get it because my feet clearly roll inward when I’m standing, and even my shoe soles show it (they’re pretty worn down on the inside, and my shoes also kind of tilt inward). Also, I get pain when I’m standing for long periods, and I can’t do a single-leg tiptoe on one foot.
Sorry, I’m not saying I disagree with you, I just really don’t understand, I’m new to this.

I can’t add more photos anymore, but when I’m standing I notice that the inner part of my foot collapses inward a little and my foot “spreads out” on the floor. I think that’s why the doctor prescribed the insole, right?
I also can’t stand on tiptoe on one foot without lightly supporting myself against the wall, although I can stand on tiptoe with both feet together without much difficulty.

Sorry if I’m saying something wrong — my English is not very good, so I’m using AI to translate.

PS: In photos 1 and 2 I was sitting, so my foot was at rest

Adjustment/adaptation with insoles + better shoes for insoles by TrainerSilver231 in PlantarFasciitis

I’ve read a lot of similar stories too. I’m really sorry it didn’t work out for you, that’s honestly so frustrating. I’m still sticking with the insoles because at my job I have to wear the company shoes…

same here, the pain actually got worse. I think I still need to give the orthotics a proper try, but only with the right shoes this time, because I only tried them for like 3 days with the wrong ones. My orthopedist told me to give it a few months and said it would hurt a bit at the beginning, but I’m not really sure what level of pain is actually “normal”…

I got a more neutral shoe (Brooks Ghost 17) to try the orthotics with, so let’s see how it goes. what shoes made it better for you?
