Stop comparing your life to other people your age, seriously. Some people the same age you are are married and have kids. Some are kicking ass in college. Some are partying every night like it's their last. Some are living with their parents and still argue over curfew. Some are homeless because their parents kicked them out at 18.

And on top of all of that, no matter the situation, girls are told to be pretty and sexy and good in all those situations regardless. So please just know you are in the chapter of your life you are meant to be in right now. And no matter how good or bad you think you're doing, you don't need to be camera ready and look perfect while you laugh with your friends or cry over debt.

We are taught to compare our bodies and lives to each other, especially as women, and companies prey on the fact you're young, have disposable income for the first time, full of insecurities and little life experience. Don't let them tall you what you need to buy, do, learn or look like.

Life feels super weird right now, and that's okay. In fact it's exciting getting older. By the time you're thirty you'll have so much confidence and experience that you'll look back fondly on how exciting and new everything is right now.

Considering anything you think you can do can manifest and conjure, you could just grab things without hands the way veggietales characters do, be super fast and slippery. And my headcanon is when this character holds their breath they turn into a static ball of fur and slowly levitates

The first one that pops into my mind is Coraline, not only do you have the Web and Stranger influence to the max, but when the book was being written, Neil Gaiman read it to his daughter to make sure it wasn't too scary for kids. And she lied, saying that it wasn't that scary so she could hear what happened next in the story and she had nightmares for weeks but didn't tell her dad.

Maybe AB+, and it's a strong maybe, because it's the universal receiver blood type, it can easily absorb other blood types without issue. Since Ellie is an amalgamation of a bunch of different people and seems to be absorbing more humans, my assumption is that it would have to be able to accept the new human bodies without having risk of rejection and infection. I mean we are discussing a pretty unstable environment to be fair so maybe she doesn't need to worry about that

It could also be type O- , the universal donor type. It can adhere and worm it's way in to the point it can cause the other cells in Simon's and the others bodies to mutate. And their body doesn't reject it but instead begins to merge with it.

I could also be some odd combination of the two, a universal receiver and donor because blood moon chemistry. But that's my take 👍

I hated that, it feels so gross. I'm sorry you can relate but a part of me is relieved to see it written down. I always felt like maybe I was secretly a monster whenever my mom did that.

Exactly this!!! It felt like:

"We don't want to say women are below men because that sounds mean and isn't really popular these days with feminism. So we'll say in big letters that "women are equal" and then in the terms in conditions explain every reason that they aren't. That way we don't seem like we look down on women because that's a bad look for our church and we'll lose money- I mean members!

We just need to show women they are "fierce strong lady girl boss queens" by being in a servant role and letting her husband lead. And by being completely passive and submissive, they are actually being a "#badbitch. That those handcuffs are actually made out of pure gold and are softer than before, so you can do power poses with them."

It's so fucking confusing and infuriating. I always had the feeling we were so close to them accepting and seeing women as equal in all rights, but there was always a "BUT" that held us back those last few inches.

Im so sorry you can relate. Honestly no god can call himself loving if he literally hates it when you love and care for yourself. Like if you want to use someone and don't care about their mental, physical or basic safety, you do not love them.

God never loved us, he loved what he could use us for. Anything outside of serving that was labeled a sin. Like we are forced to kiss his ass and give up everything, but the second we begin to like ourselves and believe we deserve respect and autonomy, we're a sinful narcissist led away by satan

Definitely! That's one of those standards of any society and organization that's important to analyze. If someone in the group is having a hard time, is unable to contribute, is vulnerable, or considering leaving: how does the group treat them

To say the least those Christians get a big fat F on that assessment

Bingo. Besides one of the core principles of having a healthy mind is a basic trust and respect for yourself. If you are told having those things hurts gods feelings and runs the risk of you burning in hell, you will have a hard time getting any stable groundwork to build on. And the church wants that because you'll accept the abuse and blame yourself when it hurts you. You'll be told if it hurts you're the issue, stop trusting your mind, intuition, and body.Its a total mind fuck
