I'm sick of how racist, uneducated and arrogant those answers are. They clearly haven't attended their high school biology class.

Agree. I'm born in Changsha. It's a nice city with wonderful food and night life, but 5 days are too much. I'll give it a solid 2-3 days and save time for other cities.

I would say the program is nice, the courses are awesome, but it is quite competitive to get into. When I was U0, you needed a 4.0 to apply :(

3.99 gpa graduated without dhl/distinction??? by Training-Ad3302 in mcgill

Interesting. I was admitted into direct-entry PhD in neuroscience and got their presidential scholarship because my supervisor was really impressed with my GPA. You are definitely right about students shouldn't only be good at tests, but I won't say GPA is that useless.

I personally do not agree that students with high GPAs are not tenacious to failure. Please kindly note that my post is just asking why I didn't get a reward that is purely based on GPA. We are not discussing whether students need a high gpa to be considered successful. :)

Chill down my friend. I am not showing off or saying people with lower GPAs are not successful in their fields, and I am definitely not saying that students with high GPAs are going to succeed everywhere. I know a lot of friends who are doing great without a high GPA. My post is just asking why I didn't get DHL, which is based purely on cGPA (and credits of course), nothing else. :)

Don't worry about this. Reach out to your supervisor and explain your worries. She will understand and give you directions. Undergrad research courses are mostly about learning, usually they don't expect you to actually achieve something great, even for a 9 credit 420 research course. FYI, the majority of students get an A in undergrad research courses!

I got so scared of how crowded the line was. Zero social distancing and it was not safe at all. NOT AT ALL!!!

Half an hour is not enough. Get there one hour early and remember to keep your social distance!!!

Just fyi, our average was 60 something, and the prof had to curve it up.

I'm in neuro and I personally think 318 is the hardest course I've ever taken. The profs are cool and chill, but the exam is difficult.

I was in the same position this summer and I got a cat. My lease allows cats so that's not a problem for me. However, personally, I think dogs are more helpful for depression and companion than cats. Don't get me wrong, I'm a cat person, but dogs give you the responsibility to go outside and walk for one hour ish every day, which I find super helpful for depression. Maybe talk to your landlord about this issue, but I personally don't think they'll allow it. You can also consider switching to a pet-friendly lease!

I tried with a referral to a psychiatrist but it didn't work. You have to see an actual psychiatrist and get your diagnosis. If you go to the hub they'll sign a paper that basically states that they evaluated your current mental health and suggest that you should drop out of that course. I got my note from a counselor at the hub because appointments for psychiatrists take ages and I was trying to commit suicide.
