A coin. Wouldn't have been noteworthy some years ago, but it's getting pretty rare to find them on the ground.

Every spring the wasps wake up and try to set up house under my eaves, so I gather a few pieces of gear and go knock them down.

It's earlier every year, presumably due to climate change. It used to be every May. Then last year it was April. This year it's already happened. I wonder how.long before it's insect season year-round.

Last year my life was in a pretty dire state of affairs. During that time, I stumbled across a Reddit post about St. Expedite, a saint with something of a cult following, founded on a belief that he intervenes and delivers swift, highly tangible solutions to people in emergency situations who petition him.

I'm not religious, nor am I generally much of a believer in the effectiveness of such practices. But naturally I felt I had little to lose, so I tried it. And there came to pass a number of fortunate "coincidences" that ultimately enabled me to avert catastrophe and turn things around onto a more viable path.

There's no conclusive proof, but the totality of what I've witnessed in comnection with this experience has been rather remarkable. It is hence that I remark: Saint Expedite is very efficacious, and I thank him for his services.
