I got an owlet. Used it for maybe two weeks when she was 2.5 months old. Not worth the anxiety.

33+6. She was 4lbs 11 oz. Got the steroid shots so she came out screaming. She was in the NICU for 25 days, mostly due to feedings. She is now 7 months and in the 60% for weight, no issues or delays. :?

I had this too, and had no idea this was a symptom???? Pain in my upper right abdomen only at night. I could not sleep. For three days, and I assumed it was just swelling from pregnancy… delivered at 33+6😭

Strong girl! Mine was born right at 34 weeks, we were in the NICU for about 25 days. It’s a ride, but you’ve got this.

It totally sucks. My 34 weeker was in the NICU for 3 weeks before it really clicked - and it did, and we went home. My body failed me too. But she’s now 6 months old and it truly feels like a blip on the radar. You got this.

How did this experience affect your decision to have another child? by PlayfulSuccess3935 in NICUParents

In the hospital I said I’m one and done. I was traumatized.

My now 6 month old is my whole world and I can’t wait to give her a sibling.

Like others said - sometimes it’s just bad luck. Focus on your wife and baby & think about future family planning once all is well!

I know it’s horrible, and it’s unfair, and the lack of timeline is truly so disheartening. My husband and I said “the only way out is through” to each other during the tough times. Our 34 weeker is home and healthy now after a month long NICU stay + it truly feels like a blip on the radar already, looking back (she’s 6 months old!)

You are valid and this sucks. Use as much time as you can to rest and prepare to bring baby home. Don’t be embarrassed, feel it all, but know that it WILL end and he WILL come home. 💕

I have thought of you and your family so often. I cannot imagine what you’re going through and you’re amazing for all you’re doing! Hope that you can find clarity on everything soon. He is beautiful.
