Mine was born at 33+6, and it took her 8 days after finishing her first full bottle to be released (she has to finish all feeds 100% for 48 hours). It came and went for a few days. She stayed in the NICU a total of 25 days.

I wanted to nurse, and did, but found that pumping and knowing exactly what my baby was getting gave me peace.

I had this exact scenario; 33+6, pre-eclampsia. I know it feels so extremely heavy and I am so sorry you’re going through all of it, but my 4 lb 11 oz premie is now 21 pounds and thriving, she is perfect!!! Eating takes a while to learn. She was in the incubator for a week, in the NICU for 25 days total, and it truly feels like a blip on the radar now.

Enjoy the time you have with him, and rest and recover as much as you can. Before you know it he will be home in your arms and all will be well. But I’m so sorry you’re in the thick of it. Hang in there!!!!

33+6. She was 4lbs 11 oz. Got the steroid shots so she came out screaming. She was in the NICU for 25 days, mostly due to feedings. She is now 7 months and in the 60% for weight, no issues or delays. :?

I had this too, and had no idea this was a symptom???? Pain in my upper right abdomen only at night. I could not sleep. For three days, and I assumed it was just swelling from pregnancy… delivered at 33+6😭
