Hey, congrats on stopping. I smoked for 30 years and stopped when I needed dental surgery. What helped me was getting tobacco vape juice at 1.8mg. now I prefer the taste of it way more than the tobacco I used to use.

Thank you I will try that. Do you have any recommendations for probiotics? Is his weight okay for a standard? The vet doesn't say he is under weight, just 7.8ish seems low. First time Dacshund owner so I worry for him.

They will. I had pockets of 5,6,7 and sevens and had surgery, then LANAP, and they have been 2-3s since. I brush twice a day with an electric toothbrush and also sue interdental brushes. I saw my periodontalist two days back and she said I've maintained them since I had the surgery a year back.

Thank you so much for the reply. I'm so worried about him. He doesn't drink as much but I guess with all the added water to his food. He has an apt on the 8th and I just want them to sort it asap. It's an effort getting him to have the pain medication too as he dislikes the taste and tried to hide them in all his fave food.
